Thank you for your advice autumnflower :-)
I use about 12 syns a day usually, and I tend to snack on superfree foods/free foods about 50/50. For eg of an eveing when I am getting peckish I will have a big bowl of strawberries and a FF muller light. I have stacks of fruit and veg each day, way more than I think I need too.
I don't overdo the bananas either, have about 3 a week.
But.... I do tend to stick to the same meals each week, and I average out 5 days on EE, and 1 Green and 1 red.
So, I will take this on board and try to eat a more varied diet, eat more fish, and will do more red days, and hopefully I can shift a bit more weight.
Thank you very much for taking the time to tell me all that, much appreciated xxx

Try drinking loads of water as well. x

Thanks consultant :) I don't eat a lot of bread, I just have my HEB quota a day (2 slices of small wholemeal).
I must have a go at this dyno rod soup, I make a big pan of veg soup every week, and have it most days for lunches, apart from when I do a red day, ingrediants are

    Massive bag of carrot battons
    Loads of turnips
    Chopped onion
    Butternut squash
    Sweet potato
    cabbage
    2 normal potatoes
    Lentils
    Veg stock pot

Do you think this is a type of Dynorod soup? I have been thinking of leaving the lentils out, that way if I HEB the pototo I could have a portion on a red day too, is that right? I love this soup I never tire of it, and it really helps to keep me regular ;-)

Thanks Confused I don't drink enough water, I will up my limit THANK YOU XX

Evening all, well done to all the losers today, I weighed in and STS - I was a bit disappointed with this if I'm honest, just lately my weightloss has just fell flat. I lost over half a stone in February and so far this month I have lost 1lb :(

On a more positive note it was taster evening tonight and I took along the famous SW quiche (thanks you guys!!!) It went down a treat and I had loads of people asking me for the recipe :D

I'm determined to have a good week this week, the feeling I felt as I came off the scales is the kick up the bum I need. I'm going through and old SW magazine looking for inspirational now.

    Must try harder this week...
    Currently takling Barclaycard - £67/£350
    Debt free date October 2014
    :jDoing it for my girlies!!:j
    38lbs lost in 2011
    SW for May 8lb/7lb
  • I wanted some advice on what ingredients people put in their stir fry concoctions.

I don't really like the shop bought 'stir fry veg' packs, and wondered what you guys put in yours if you're making it from scratch?

Gonna post my food diary for today too: Having a RED day today.
And tried my first bit of 'proper' fish today :D i'm so proud of myself for trying something new!

    Breakfast - 12pm
    28g bran flakes (part HEB)
    125ml ss milk (1/2 HEA)

    Lunch - 2pm
Cod fillet cooked in chilli flakes
    Green beans
    Roasted cherry tomatoes

    Snacks
    Alpen light (3)
    strawberrys
    1/2 tsp sugar (0.5)

    Tea - 7pm
    219g jacket potato (HEB2)
Tuna with ex. light mayonaise (1)
Lettuce, cucumber, spring onions & celery.

    Evening
    4 x strawberrys & 1/2 tsp suger (0.5)
3 x sesame seed ryvitas (rest HEB) (3) with ex. light butter (1.5)
carrot sticks, celery sticks, pickled onions
28g red leicstershire cheese (HEA2) wrapped in ham slices with some pickled onions and beetroot

    TOTAL SYNS = 9.5

I'm trying to save a few syns each day as i'm having alcoholic drinks tomorrow night, and want to offset my damage!

If you leave the skins on a baking potato you can have 227g of it as a HEB on red, as long as you also leave out the lentils and the sweet potato too, it will be red suitable.

    Good morning everyone

Blackberry-rum - will definately try that with the mullerlight tonight :TSounds very nice!

Autumnflower - stir frys in this house tend to be a medley of whatevers lurking at the bottom of the fridge. Usually shredded cabbage (I use savoy), carrot (I use the potato peeler to get thin strips), peppers, spring onions, red onion etc. I'm not a massive fan of beansprouts so don't tend to have too many of them.

Up VERY early here - munchkin still poorly with a bad cough. :( Have my lunch all ready for today so at least I won't be tempted to nibble.

Breakfast: Scrambled egg with mushrooms and tomatos on the side
Lunch: Pasta with h/m sauce packed with veggies
Dinner: Jacket potato, cheese (HEA), chicken and a big pile of veg
    Snacks: Ryvitas (HEB), frozen mullerlight!:D
Drinks: Black coffees and lots of water
Exercise: I WILL get on the exercise bike today!:rotfl:

    Miss P
    xx
