    Hi peeps

:hello: to all the new posters!

I`ve been MIA for a few days as w*rk has been rather hectic but i`ve been quite good and stuck to plan apart from today when i`ve had too many syns :o Hopefully i`ve not done much damage though as some days i`ve not had any so over the week it should still leave me under :j

Today has been a red day :-

Brekkie - Bacon, boiled eggs and mushrooms
    Dinner - Tuna on toast
Tea - Chicken leeks and cauliflower with a few herbs for a nice flavour.
Snacks were yogurt and quavers which are proving quite addictive for me :o

Tomorrow will be a green day and so far the plan is

Brekkie - Porridge with a spoonful of jam
Dinner - Jacket potato & cottage cheese
Tea - SW Egg fried rice with a few strips of chicken
Snacks - Yogurt, quavers, apple and maybe the grapefruit that i`ve been carrying around in my work bag for the last 4 days :p

Milk as ever is my HEA as i have a few cuppas and then switch to herbal or fruit teas once the allowance is used up.

I`ve not double checked the HEB`s yet but i`m pretty sure that they`re ok and anything else can be synned :D

I`ve just about caught up with the thread, can`t believe how fast it moves

    Keep well peeps.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

  • Tried Scan Bran tonight as I;m often lacking my HEB and oh my god they are terrible!!! Reminded me of sheets of plywood! I managed one bite but it just seemed to suck all the moisture out of my mouth! Ugh!!!!!!!

Need to find a decent recipe to use them up as I hate to waste them!

Shala_moo - which kievs are 2.5? or is it a HM one?

Lynz, it was a homemade one from a little red/green book i have. It was really nice (nicer for the fact someone else made it for me:D)

Here's the recipe for anyone who wants it - i'll add to the other thread too.

Chicken Kiev - serves 4 - 2.5syns on red day

    4 chicken breasts
    Salt & pepper
    2 Garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp FF fromage frais (we used quark)
    1 tbsp fresh parsley
    3 tbsp grated parmesan
    1 egg, beaten
    10z(28g) golden breadcrumbs

    1. Preheat oven to 190'C/375'F/Gas 5
    2. slice lengthwise down the side of each chicken breast to create a pocket
    3. season with salt and pepper
    4. mix garlic, fromage frais, parsley and 2tbsp of parmesan together, spoon into each chicken breast. Secure with a cocktail stick
    5. brush the bottom of the chicken breast with egg and sprinkle with some of the breadcrumbs. Turn over and repeat the egg and breadcrumbs
    6. sprinkle the remaining parmesan over the top of the chicken breasts
    7. Spray with oil, bake for 25-30 minutes

The syns must come from the breadcrumbs and parmesan, so to make this free (on EE) you could use reconstituted couscous flavoured with herbs to cover the chicken instead.

    Hello all,

Been so busy recently that I haven't been able to catch up properly with thread.

How's everyone doing with the challenge? I lost 2lb last week and 1.1/2 this week so well pleased that I am on track to meet challenge and still sitting firmly on Dizzy's wagon!!!!!!!

Dizzy: I am SO intrigued with the talk of Mr. Dizzy's "swollen wotsits" (how many synns are these?)

Keep up the good work everyone. xx

    Hello again,

At the risk of sounding really stupid would someone tell me what I have to do to get this page every time? I have to get to it from Martins Money Saving then scan the threads and it takes ages. Thanks in advance xx

Confused - i save the thread down in my favourites or you could subscribe to the thread somehow.. sorry i'm not very techy, i'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you how to do this.

    Evening gang,

Skint - I'd say eat any other kind of fruit/veg you have available, and drink lots of fluids. It's too late for WI, but it might help to clear you out. I find peas or sweetcorn work with me, and onions too, but I'm slightly intollerant to these, so they play my tummy up a bit. Also I find porridge or any oats fly through.

Confused - go to the Thread Tools at the top of the page, and choose 'subscribe', and then choose an option from the box of the regularity you want to subscribe (I get a daily email).

I've been to the gym, so am feeling a bit tired, a bit achy, but much happier to be back in the swing. It was a bit hard going, but I still kept at it, and did a full and thorough workout.

Food today has been : EE

B - FF yogurt, raspberries, Fibre Plus bar, nectarine
L - Boiled egg & ham salad, salad cream (2), wholemeal roll (HeB)
D - Bolognese, LF cheese (4 syns), pasta
    Milk in teas - HeA
Snacks - banana, Weetabix bar (3.5 syns), wholemeal bread (3 syns)

I've felt really hungry this evening, but couldn't eat all my dinner, so that's a bit of a connundrum, and I was really craving sweet stuff afterwards anyway, so just tried to avoid eating again, and drank a decaf coffee instead.

I'll try to plan for more regular snacks tomorrow, and save my fibre plus for the evening like I used to, to stave off the hunger & choccie cravings.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
