Also, my colleague lent me a really old SW curries cookbook and it looks really good. Can't wait to try a few things - might have a go at something over the weekend.

Beware if it has a Chicken Bhuna recipe in it with loads of peas, peppers and spring greens. It has a mistake in it. See my post yesterday about the apology from SW.

I've just adapted a curry sauce recipe from this month's mag (or maybe last) to make a LO veg curry for lunch. The house smells like an Indian restaurant! It's come up lovely and thick just like the paste I used to use. Hope it tastes as good.

    EE for me today:
B: NAS grapefruit, Puffed Wheat, banana and HE milk, tea (through the day)
    L: Veg curry
D: Liver and onions with mash, cabbage, carrots and gravy. I may add peas as I love peas with mash.
S: Definitely finish off some strawberries and maybe apple and cottage cheese.

  • DIZZY?? Or anyone else who occasionally needs dyno rod help :o

Stupid leg been all painful, and taken stupid painkillers yesterday and they also stop other things, so my question to you is... 4 bowls of weetabix, HM parsnip soup and a bowl of mushy peas later, what next?

Can't afford to shop for dyno rod ingredients until next week. WI is tonight... :o

Just wondering.....has anyone ever tried freezing sw quiche? I was going to make one tonight for packed lunches but it usually does me 4 days and I only have 2 more days at work this week. Was thinking I could freeze 2 portions to have next week. I freeze normal quiche and that's ok so I can't see why the sw one wouldn't be!!!

As I normally only ever do EE: Can anyone tell me if I have mashed swede instead of potato would it become a red day? I haven't had cottage cheese yet. Do I need to eat anything else to make it red?

Curry was lovely BTW, I'm definitely going to make that Classic Chicken curry for the freezer (Jan/Feb issue).

Lisa, I don't know about the SW quiche but I've frozen one with a mashed potato base before and it's been just fine. As it's only two slices, why not try it?
