  • Afternoon, well done for all the fab losses this week!

Jeez, everyone is getting in on the fibre plus train aren't they!

Have spent most of the day swotting up on the candidates for interviews. Double checking OFSTED reports and generally getting a feel for each one. Took a break for lunch and of course nothing else happens while the rugby is on :D Glad England won but was a poor game I thought. Now watching England ladies v Scotland ladies. !!!!!! ME ENGLAND JUST SCORED WHILE I'M TYPING THIS :rotfl:

Anyway the reason I'm posting - rescue remedy - tablets v liquid? Anyone got a preference? Is one better than the other or both the same? Any advice greatly received. Thank You :A

Language, TIE! ;) I went through I think every type of RR when I was in hospital, thanks to the docs saying that even one drop of alcohol would mess with my pretty hallucinating drugs

The tablets are gummy and yucky, and take forever to dissolve, or even to chew. The glycerine based dropper/spray is better, but still yack. The alcohol based dropper (the original one) wins hands down for me. :T

Evening all! Well done on all the losses. I had a flexi day yesterday, was out for the day with mum but we didn't go too mad so a few low syn days should make up for it. I had less than 5 syns on thurs and fri so thats a start! I;ve been marzipaning my wedding cakes today, its surprisingly hard work! Also had a 1 hour walk, mucked out the stables and picked up the poo's in the field so I'm now exhausted!! I could really do with a proper day off to chill but with the wedding in a few weeks and my degree work to finish and hand in the week before I can't see it happening until I'm on honeymoon!!!

    Today is SE:

Brekkie - omlette with loads of mushrooms, tinned toms, grapes
Snack - toast (HEB) and marmelade (2)
Lunch - salad, jacket potato, ham, dressing (2), cheese (half HEA), yogurt
Snack - ryvita (HEB), laughing cow (half HEA), pickled onions, grapes
Tea - braised beef, mash, carrots, swede, broccoli, sprouts, onions, gravy (3)
Other HEA - milk in teas

I make that 7 syns so I'm happy with that.

I adore Rescue Remedy. The regular dropper liquid actually contains alcohol as G&B said, and that's why I don't take it at work cos I feel guilty, but I do use it at home. it's just drops on the tongue, doesn't taste of anything really! The nighttime RR is fab, quite sweet. I do love the chewing gum, it tastes of elderflowers tho only briefly. And I love the pastilles too. I give the cats a drop of the regular stuff in their food on bonfire night to keep them calm, they've not turned up their noses at it!

Who asked ...? All my meals are syn free I think, I make everything from scratch. My syns are used on wine, occasionally choc or JELLY BABIES. Oooh but I've just made a lovely rich dish for the next 3 days using Asda's meat free meatballs (about 4 syns the whole frozen pack, can't be bothered to check but there was only half a pack left and it's lasting 3 days thus not worth counting imo)

Does anyone else live in the Welsh Marches area? Harry Tuffins have those Pagen Krisp Rolls at 95p, is that a good price? I got a pack to try anyway. Thanks for the photo, I'd never have found them otherwise. Also he has Kellogs Fibre Plus Dark Choc for £1 a pack. I can't see them listed in my book but dizzy says they are a HEB so that's good enough for me :rotfl:

Well done all losers, sorry have tried to read last 3 days posts but TOO MANY :D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • I just had SW chips and chinese curry sauce for dinner, made using 1TBSP curry paste that I got from an oriental food shop, which according to syns online is 4 syns, it was just enough for me, I made it a but too thick so nexct week I am going to add more water and make a chicken curry with it.

Am I the only person noticing a lack of Fibre plus? FOr a while back they were in newsagents, now they have vanished? I haven't seen these in london for ages, am i looking in the wrong places (I dont have tesco or Mr M nearby)

I liked them a lot, although alpen lites in 99p stores are a good buy and thats what I usually have. Looking forward to trying the new variant!

I've just had lamb roasted on a bed of veg (carrots, leeks, turnip, parsnip and swede) with roast potatoes and broccoli. I'm feeling stuffed on all that free and superfree food! Room for a few wine syns though.:D

LO lamb is now marinating in stir-fry sauce for tomorrow and an extra portion in the freezer. Very MSE, I'm proud of myself!

What channel is the ladies match on?? I've played with or against most of the Scotland ladies at club level;)

Bit late now but it was on skys red button after the mens match. Scotland got thoroughly thrashed 89 - 0, much better game than the mens but a bit one sided.

Have looked on tesco website and they only have the liquid so will get that. Am bit worried about how it will make me feel, don't want to be so relaxed I'm spaced out lol.

Fibre plus bars - can't eat them as they play havoc with my IBS  I do love them though.
