You could I suppose?? but if It were me....Id ditch the tia maria and use those syns for proper sponge fingers, then use strong coffee (which you need anyway for tiramisu) and vanilla in the quark
Tiramisu nomnomnom one of my fave puddings0 -
Thanks lynz for your list of meals. I'd love to know how you do syn-free gravy, please.
My EE mains for last week were:
SW chicken curry with pilau and chips
HM boiled gammon with wedges and cauliflower
chicken stir-fry with rice (always make own sauce)
baked cod with chips, tomatoes, mushrooms and mushy peas
liver and onions with cabbage, carrots and mash (after advice on here just caremellise the onions with balsamic and then add stock, thin gravy but very tasty)
chicken jumbalaya
then a carvery meal out (usually I just syn the gravy but last night I was greedy and had roast potatoes and parsnips:o)
:T to the losers especially the BIG ones (isn't it good to be described as big in that way;) rather than the usual?)0 -

http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/syn-free-onion-gravy HERE is the syn free gravy, you can sieve the onions out of it, and I wonder whether thickening with smash-style would work, might try! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...

Thanks. That's very similar to what I did for my liver and onions. I fried the onions, strips of liver and balsamic altogether then added the stock and stirred it up to get all the tasty bits from the pan. I didn't cook it for hours though, just let it bubble while I was doing the veg!0 -
Ohhhh deary me, Dime Bars are only 7 syns??? Yikes.
OMG!! It is years since I had one of them little suckers:D

Some fantastic weight losses this week - I hope you're all very proud of yourselves
I went to Morrisons yesterday and their sweet potatoes were a ridiculous size. Anyway I've just made a soup from a butternut squash, a large onion, a huge sweet potato and a large (tough-looking) parsnip, all chopped. Add a heaped teaspoon of Balti spice, 2 veggie Oxo cubes and a load of water. Boil everything together for about ½ hour and blend. It's the best soup I've ever tasted....thick, golden and really yummy. There's enough for lunches all week (if I stick with one bowlful) and cost less than £2 (very MSE-friendly):jI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Have spent most of the day swotting up on the candidates for interviews. Double checking OFSTED reports and generally getting a feel for each one. Took a break for lunch and of course nothing else happens while the rugby is on
