Hi I started extra easy on Tuesday and really enjoying it so far. Just after some advice.

I am not in a class but have all the books etc.

My question is: I have to have 2/3 free and 1/3 super free. Does it matter if some days I have more super free than free? Also do portion sizes matter of syn free meals? Can I really have as much as I want? Or should I limit it?

    Any help would be great

    Thanks :)

You can never have too many super frees :D and yes you can eat as much as you want, just stop when you're full. Portion size - same thing really, yes you COULD eat a washing up bowl size of pasta but would you really be able to eat it all? Its all about knowing when you're full, after a while your portion size will settle down to what you are comfortable with.

    That's WONDERFUL Majjak:beer:

Can I join the challenge please? I've got 2 stone to go, so it will get me well along the way. And I need to add in planned exercise, tho for me it will just be more walking.

Magnolia that's fantastic ! Well done you !!! xxx :T

Thank you for all the job well wishes people, I love this thread, everyone is so lovely :D

I'm a bit tired this morning, I spent 5 hours up the hospital last night with DH - he broke his little toe :rotfl:. Sorry I know I shouldn't laugh but I've never seen a little toe that pointed sideways before:rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek:. It was such a loooooooooooooooooooooooong wait though ! 2 hours before we were even seen, then another hour and a half waiting for doc, then another hour to x-ray, then another half hour to get it strapped. We got back after 2 ! Think I might have to have an afternoon nap later ;).

Anyway, busy day today, have to make my lunch for work tomorrow and do a cottage pie for tea so DD can pop it in the oven around 5.

I think I'll have EE today so that we can have a roast:

B - 2 weetabix (HEB), Milk (HEA), banana
L - Salmon Nicoise salad (SW EE cookbook) Activia FF yoghurt
D - Roast chicken, frylight potatoes, peas, carrots, swede, green beans, gravy (2 syns), yorkshire (3 syns)

    Snacks - Pear, Grapefruit, Mullerlight

strictly speaking I dont like to save my syns up, (Im a creature of habit & need my liitle 8pm curfew choccy fix :p) But saying that, when faced with a few days away I do think its a safer option. And I can still have my choccy fix with an options drink ;)

I dont tend to use syns in cooking at all either, so my menus are generally syn free (with the exception of my Oatso simple at brekkie 1.5)

Well done on your losses so far.......Its a lovely feeling getting into smaller clothes!
I took some of my favourite old faithful white linen trousers away with us to mexico at Xmas without bothering to try them on 1st, thinking they would be ok as they are meant to be a bit loose and have a tie waist. I put them on and Mr Dizzy looked Horrified.....they were soooooo baggy on the bum and did nothing at all for me lol :D that felt pretty good seeing as my other things were feeling a little snug from the mahoosive lunch & xxx ice creams we had eaten earlier :o

Out of interest, what is a typical day's menu for you then? I'm adopting your syn curfew :j although I have always used syns for my main meals so will allow odd syns for this but chocolate syns - not till after 8pm ! - would be interested to see what other members have for their (synfree) meals.

Whilst on the subject of meals, was out for dinner last night and picked Sweet potato patties for my main. Would like to make my own - any ideas ?
