It has been suggested to others that you attend one meeting, pay the joining fee and the meeting fee, (if you can't find a "free joining" offer in any magazines) get the up to date talk and the books, then don't go again.

If you have the discipline to manage your own weigh in and follow the advice given here then you should do fine.

Finally back on plan again and even managed to lose 1½lb of the 4lb that I gained over the last 4 weeks - caused by comfort/anxiety eating, a weekend away and my birthday celebrations (I can never make them last only one day!) so the damage could have been a whole lot worse!
If it's okay with you I think I'll post my food diary here for a couple of weeks - I'm never quite sure if I'm actually doing Extra Easy (most days I do manage to get a third superfrees onto my plate or as a snack) or if I'm better off red or green.
    So far today:
B: Porridge (Heb) SS Milk (Hea) 1 Scan Bran, Strawberries, Omega seed mix (2 syns)
L: Homemade Lentil & Carrot Soup, Melon & pineapple
D: Homemade pasta sauce (mushrooms, onions, peppers, garlic, tinned tomatoes, passata, herbs) with chicken & pasta
Black coffees (I don't take milk in coffee anyhow) and warm water with lemon juice.
I might have some syns later but haven't decided what yet!
A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!! :(
    Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!

Well today was going well, until i had to spend 7.5 hours in hospital with DD. Was all prepared for the usual 3 or 4 as she was having xrays/seeing docs etc before her surgery tomorrow. Had a big bag of SW friendly food with me and had munched it all by about 3.30, didnt get out til 5.30 and treated her to dinner at Pizza Express. Ho Hum, tomorrow will probably be off plan too with DD in surgery.
Scenic route here i come:o 100% from wednesday or you can chuck me from the group!

Nobody ever gets chucked from the group - we're all human, all make mistakes and most of us have taken the scenic route at times (if not all the way to target).

Hang in there....hope DD does well in surgery tomorrow :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Morning all! Welcome to newbies and well done to all losers!

I was really down and miserable last night, not sure why! Feeling slightly happier now but still not 100%. Glad I had a green day yestarday as a nice comfort food tea (fish, chips and mushy peas with tomato ketchup!). My only syns for the day were the ketchup too. Today we're having tea at MIL's so will have to save all my syns for that!! I'm going green again:

Brekkie - Porridge (HEA&B) with apple, ginger and cinnamon (try it, it's gorg!!!)
Lunch - HM minestrone soup, leftover sw chips and mushy peas, yogurt, grapes
Tea - ??? but have a HEB for whatever meat we have plus a HEA incase we have cauliflower cheese again!
    Snacks - fruit
