Hola gang – hope all is going well today. It’s really blustery and cold but sunny so think I’ll take another walk up calton hill on my lunch break. Changed my dins last night so SW quiche – nice and soft so no problem eating! And used 6 syns on a glass of red wine.

    Another green day today;
Breakfast – weetabix (1/2 HEB), milk (1/2 HEA), boiled incher
Lunch – leftover SW quiche (made with pasta n sauce, eggs, cottage cheese, onions and mushrooms), activia f/f
Dinner – tinned mackerel (1/2 HEB) cous cous and mixed veg (was meant to have this last night!)
Snacks – bananas, mandarins, activia f/f, milk for coffee (1/2 HEA)
Syns – 175ml glass of red wine – 6 syns

Well, that’s me starting Karate classes tonight, first lesson free in case I don’t like it. Will be looking forward to that glass of red when I get home!!!

A little off topic, but has anyone tried to wean themselves off coffee before? I’m thinking I’ve really got to cut down as it’s getting a bit ridiculous (I’ve just finished my 3rd mug and averaging 4-5 mugs a day). Not only is it not having the desired effect anymore, I’m worried that my teeth are turning a nice witchy shade!

 I'm a happy bunny this morning as I lost 2lb at WI!:)

On the down days I've had some fairly bad meals out and too many wine syns but on good ones I've had blueberries, melon, strawberries, beans, fish etc stc so I must have got the balance OK overall (not that I'd recommend that way of following the plan:o).

I also won the raffle of a bag of mixed veg, so I'm off to plan meals around what I've got in first and then positively saintly things as well.

My EE meal plan for today is:

B:NAS, Puffed Wheat plus milk in teas all day
L: HM Lentil and Veg soup plus half a melon
D: Chicken Jumbalaya with courgettes, peas, carrots, tomatoes, peppers and rice

Yoemma, do wean yourself off the coffee not stop all of a sudden or you'll get a horrible headache!

Having a good day here, will write diary later, but feeling very positive.

I need to log in online and post my weight so may have a loss later!

Well done Looooosers :T Commiserations Gainers :(

For the first time I'm in the Gainers team this week :( Had a small gain of 0.75 lbs.

What am I going to do about it? I'm going to dust myself off and get back on that wagon - that's what I'm going to do about it :j

I went away at the weekend and by no means was I naughty ... it was just very difficult to stay on-plan. So, there shouldn't be anything going on in the next week to spoil my plan to get back on the Losers team next week :)

    Today's Eats:

    B: Banana

Inbetweenies: Fresh Fruit Salad & Activia vanilla ff yogurt

L: Next day salmon curry & rice

T: Jacket potato, salad, lf cheddar cheese.

Still got room for a HEB there somewhere ...

Yes I have and it's awful. Like you I found I was having several cups a day just for something to fill the gap between meals really. I decided that in future I would have mainly warm water (which I do actually enjoy) but I got shocking headaches over the next 3 or 4 days.

It's a while ago now and my usgae has increased a little (I have maybe 3 cups a day) but I started using decaff and don't seem to have the same problems. However, I still think I prefer water, either tap water, hot or sparkling water, cold......very MSE too :D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Does anyone know how many syns are contained in a Weightwatchers Oat and wheat cracker ( 3 in a polythene pack)

I bought a box from 99p stores earlier, I hope they are low as I fancy one now!

Just quickly stopping by, apologies if this has been posted before but is anyone aware of 4% crown lager from sainsburys being 1 syn per can? I read this on minimins and it seems too good to be true!!!

It seems far too good to be true. Becks Blue (non alc) is around 90 calories per bottle IIRC, so add the calories from the actual alcohol content and I can't understand how it's only 1 syn. See if it was just the non-alcohol I could understand it, a difference in the brewing process for example. But even a low calorie lager with alcohol must be in the region of 115-120 calories per 440ml can, since at 4% abv it will have about 17-18 grams of alcohol in it. That alone works out at circa 100 calories. If someone has discovered an alcohol that contains less than 20 calories for 18 grams they would be national heroes - not selling it at Sainsbury's for £2.67.

I've only read a couple of pages since I'm working, but some on the boards are saying that it's 20 calories per can! At 4% alcohol as well as the fact that it has to be brewed with yeast, this should theoretically be impossible. I'm very sceptical indeed, we all know customer services can get it wrong - avoiding until proper confirmation. If it turns out to be less than 115 calories for the can I would be extremely surprised.

Would be nice though, I'm a lager drinker!
