It was weigh in for me this morning and another 3lbs off.

So I would have got my 1 stone sticker if I attended class :j

I went into town this morning and managed to avoid all the coffee shops etc.

I think I will have one pancake tonight.

    Have a good week everyone

Well, what a funny old day this is turning out to be. Came home at lunch time to check on DD who is home from school poorly. As soon as I walked through the door the phone was ringing - it was my son's school saying he had been *ick!

So I've had to book the afternoon off as DS is too young to leave at home with big sis. I think I can cope with that ;)

Green for me today for a change:

B: Banana, 2 Alpen light bars (HEB)
L: HM veg soup (parsnips, carrots, onion, sweet potato, asparagus, ground cumin) with ryvita and dairylea cheese on the side
    T: SW quiche with salad

    Have a good day y'all :)

Hi guys. I've finally accepted low carb eating isn't much use when I'm exercising simply because I feel so weak and don't have much energy, so I'm looking around for a new eating regime. Never tried SW before and if I'm honest, I'm really not up for the group sessions where you all take a turn at talking about what you've done etc. (Too much like pretending to be a tree in group drama classes at school for my liking :D)

So, I'm thinking about the online side. Just been browsing the site and found out it's £80 for Gold membership for 3 months only.
I've got a fair bit to lose so it would be worth it if it worked but I'd appreciate opinions from anyone who does this online only? £80 makes for an expensive mistake if it's not all that great.

    Any thoughts?
Herman - MP for all! :)

It would be worth popping to a group, paying to join for the week (i think it is about £15 to join & £5 for the class) then that way you get the talk, the books & you can stock up on some recipe books if you want the hard copies! ;)

That way you know what to do to start and you can pop here for more inspiration & syn questions, we don't mind helping :D

    okay ........ I'm a spicy cod/haddock liker & tuna tolerator now ;):rotfl:

You could try Mackerel next Dizzy - try the pate

I think you can make it by

    Smoked mackerel (28g = 1 syn EE/red), flaked
    Quark
    Seasoning
    Dill

    Mix together

I remember my Nana doing this but with Philly & it is really nice (smokey - not too fishy) - i would imagine it would be ok with Quark

If i can find some when i go shopping tonight i might try it & let you know how it works out with the quark

It would be nice to dip celery & carrot sticks into!

I've just had a small salad for lunch with lots of leaves, tomato, spring onion and a slice of LO ham chopped up. I got the idea when I was out last week and desperate for something SW friendly for lunch. I went into a Pret a Manger and had one of theirs (a sort of tuna nicoise one with an egg). I did succumb and have about a teaspoon of the mustard vinaigrette that came in a small separate pot.

Now that the sun is shining and salad season much closer, does anyone have any recommendations for syn free salad dressings? I've been using Lidl's best and it's OK but are any other brands worth a try? or any recipes?
