Co op are HEB, But Asda are listed again on the website as HEB (they have their OWN Brand back on the shelves now not the flatbread company ones) wooohooo!!!
I do my big shop in asda usually so i shall be getting their pittas now!
Ok I am back on track (kind of). though i do still have some naughty stuff to use up but i will try to spread those out to minimise the damage!
and i have to be alot more aware of the cost of all this healthy food now that i am paying for it all myself lol
today i am going green;
b - hifi (heb), mullerlight
snack - 2 x little haribo bags (2 x 2.5 according to minimins)
l - 3 x quorn mini scotch egg thingys (3 x 1.5 again according to minimins), 2 x falafel (2 x 1.5), sugar free jelly pot (0.5), monster munch (5)
d - mushroom and cheese (hea) omlette with side salad
i am using up the last little bits of my party food at lunch and must admit to not knowing the syns. looked them up on mini mins and i just hope they are right otherwise i have gone more than 3 syns over!
also what is everyone doing about pancake day tomorrow? is there a sw version!?!?!??0 -
Afternoon all, looks like Spring is on its way.
Mrs M - massive congratulations. Your an inspiration, you must be so proud of yourslefWell done to all the other losers.
I'm having another EE day
B- f/free yog, berries apple.
L- tuna salad mayo (2), cucumber, toms, red onion, sweetcorn. Lots of melon
T - Chirozo pizza (6) coleslaw, lettuce, jacket and cheese (2) (HEA)
kiwi, and peaches and ice cream (2)
I'm afraid I didn't keep my word and only ended up doing 20 minutes on the Wii over the weekend. I do feel as tho I made up for it, what with all the cleaning and ironing I did yesterday I was so ready for bed.
Am also thinking about trying SW quiche. I don't really like normal quiche as I'm not an eggy person. But I tried scrambled egg on holidy for the first time and really enjoyed it. :j My mum has given me a flan dish so I may well attempt that later if I have the time.
Hope everyone enjoys their dayCurrently takling Barclaycard - £67/£350Debt free date October 2014:jDoing it for my girlies!!:j38lbs lost in 2011SW for May 8lb/7lb0 -
Afternoon All,
Been so busy this weekend - not looking forward to WI tonight - even though i had a sneaky look at scales on Sat morning but it said i had lost 9lbs! I doubt i have - they must be bust!
I have taken up knitting now as i find myself picking when sitting in front of telly in a evening, hoping to break tuesday night cupboard raiding! (tuesdays are my least busy day!) Everyone is going to have scarves for xmas lol
Any other ideas on how to stop the cupboard raiding? I am sabotaghing myself & i don't know why - i regret everything now, the day of WI but i have done the damage!
Also, before everyone rushes to make the scan bran bits that consultant put on the recipe thread, please bear in mind that scan bran are 1 syn per slice, not 0.5syn so the recipes may change slightly, although you can still have 5 for a HEB!
Well done MrsM - fantastic inspiration, i wish i had your willpower, can you bottle it up & send some my way?
I don't know where mine has gone, started so well but i am not with it atm!0 -
Afternoon all. Congrats on all the losses, especially MrsM! I'm all over the place this week (literally, Portsmouth for the weekend, London tomorrow, Italy Wed-Fri), so trying my hardest to stick to plan totally and go syn-free when I am in charge of my eating. Cooked dinner yesterday for my boyf and his sister - made chilli and SW chips, so was syn free. Food plan for today:
B - fruit
L - cajun chicken salad + feta (HEA)
D - chilli + rice
Snacks - fruit, yog
Also doing Davina tonight (ooh, that sounds a bit iffy). I'm taking this planning thing a bit too far at the moment - i'm already thinking about what to eat at the weekend!:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

Afternoon ladies (and gents ... do we have any?)
I have yet another question for you all (I'm afraid it's a bit of a TMI question so look away now if you're a bit embarassed). I've been piddling for England today ! So much so that I took a water sample down to the quacks but it came back normal. Now I'm not sure but I'm wondering if this could be the 2.5lb I put on last week making it's exit
. Has anyone else had this on SW?
Anyway, today's menu (EE):
B - 28g porridge/1 scan bran (HEB) Milk (HEA) 2 pears
L - Bacon, grilled tomato, egg and baked beans
D - Spaghetti bolognaise and garlic bread (need to check syns on this) Strawberries and yoghurt
Snacks - Satsuma, banana, tuna with pepper and cucumberSave £12K challenge 2015 # 173£0.00/£10,0000 -
Hi flat eric, I was self sabotaging a lot until I just threw it all away and took some time off. I was horrfied how mcuh I put on so quickly through eating pure junk.
Alcohol to me seems a bit like a waste of syns unless I was going out for the night, could you drink less often?
I've been cutting back on alcohol since the New Year but as I have a day off today I took advantage last night and enjoyed a tipple or two ! plus I had family round for dinner so yesterday's appearance of alcohol in my food diary was a one off.
I've decided to give up alcohol for lent and I'm starting today :j If I am to get this stone off then I need to work hard at it and if I cut out the alcohol then I'll save myself the syns not only in the alcohol I drink but in the treats I enjoy the day following when I'm hungover. I don't have to drink very much now adays to feel absolutely rotten the next day and I spend the day feeding myself with synful foods all day long ! so bye bye alcohol it is ! My OH always gives up alcohol for January which I never manage so I think my giving up alcohol for lent will become a yearly thing !
I am noticing that you are also "wasting" syns on foods that can be made for little or no sysn ie ainsley couscous is 0.5 for the whole packet ( spiced one, cant remember the name now) and I usually have half a pack for salad lunch so dont count the 0.25 syn, I wouldnt have chilli sauce but make a free yoghurt sauce and HM free coleslaw - the naan may have been balanced out then!
yes I do waste syns and I'm conscious of that. The items i mentioned about in my diary yesterday were a one off though - because I know I can make the Ainsley harriet cous cous for much less syns.
It is a bit of a hassle to be preparing though, I made a lovely HM free salsa but it took a while compared to how long it took to eat! Would have been much easier to buy but syns so I should make my own in future.
I think that I need to sit down and look through all the SW books I have and plan some nice menus / treats / different things to try :j It is a hassle but i was reminded last week when I made hm sw chips over the shop bought how nice they were and it was only 10 mins of my time to slice them and par boil and I didn't feel guilty after eating them !!I have a really sweet toothif I start on any syns 'as a treat' too early in the day then im on a slippery slope. So right at the start I gave myself an 8pm curfew this way I knew I had a little choccy something to look forward to at the end of the day when I was settling down to watch telly
. I find this way really works for me.....and I appreciate my treats a lot more now too!
When I first started SW, I think I enjoyed my syns in the evening. Typically a glass of wine (6) and treatsize buttons (4) leaving 5 syns for sauce/spread etc.
Its a really good idea what you have suggested and something I shall be adopting because you are right, I'll have something with syns with my morning coffee but then want something mid afternoon then after tea, I'm looking for something else again. So each and every day I am exceeding my syn allowance but trying to tell myself that its ok when of course its not. Its going to take some planning but if I have something to look forward to then I agree that I will appreciate my syns more.
Weigh in tomorrow !
Ive yet to master this art when faced with a weekend away though:rotfl:
weekends are my downfall - big time. I need to work on this !0 -
FLAT ERIC
It sounds like you've identified where you're problems are, and how you can fix them - which is greatIt sometimes helps to go right back to basics with it all. I had to do this after my holiday to Mexico when I'd got a bit of a 'fuzzy head' with the plan and it took a bit of getting back into.
Weekends can be harder if you're out of a normal routine, or a hectic social scene..... but thats something that you will have to plan around. Maybe if you know you are going out at the weekend save a few syns each day towards that one night out? (more reason to give yourself an evening curfew on the naughties lol;))
Just give yourself one day of being 100% on plan.....then another.... at the end of the week you will be glad you didnt sabotage and will be ready for another 100% week :A x x0 -
Dizzy, I quite agree - one day at a time, if you blow it, start again tomorrow without recriminations.
I've not posted for a while, but I have been keeping up with you all, and seem to be losing steadily. But I'm concerned I might be losing a bit too fast (!?!). I am having on average 10 syns per day, eating all my HE's, mostly doing EE, and doing very little in the way of exercise.
I don't mean I'm not very happy with the losses, but in the past I have always plateau-d and stuck for ages. You can tell I have been a regular dieter, but only by starving myself. Getting stuck always led to giving up!! I lost 4 stone with SW about 3 years ago, but lost the plot when depression hit. I know it works, I never feel hungry, and am determined to do it.
Two questions please - can anyone recommend a DVD that isn't too drastic, I have limited strength at the moment, and, does anyone have experience of doing SW after gastric bypass surgery, which means I only eat small amounts at a time?
Well done to everyone who is hanging in there, well done Mrs M, best wishes for this week's WIs.

Mmmmm, just had the lamb curry in the SW magazine . Very tasty but perhaps I'll use a little less lemon next time.
I've got past my danger time too so I'm hoping to just have a few syns (chocolate) later.Trying to keep in budget.
