Flat Eric I agree with Dizzy. If you start with the sweet treats too early in the day then you tend to want more....then more and more. The best way to do it is to try and cut out anything with a lot of sugar completely. The cravings do stop quickly. If you can't then do as Dizzy says and give yourself a curfew. I also try to stick to spirits if I'm going to drink, with a lot of mixer in. I have to confess though, that a 6 year old and his writing homework drove me to a glass of wine at my friends last night. I did ask for a small glass though :D

The plan has changed for today as i forgot that DH was away so i don`t need to feed him too.

    Have a good day everyone.

    SD

This reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask: when you post a menu plan on here, do most of you just plan it for yourselves? I was curious whether you managed to come up with meal plans that suit the whole family?

Personally, DH and I have the same breakfast with a little tweaking (NAS for me, juice for him: he has spread and sugar, I don't: I have my own bread he has Burgen). For lunch we do our own thing and then we have the same supper (although DH may have sauce or mustard or mango chutney and I don't).

    How is it for you?;)

I'm just posting my own meal plan - its just me I cook for usually (which is a flipping good job with some of the weird stuff I eat! :rotfl:).

I've been MIA for a while - helped out at a dressage competition this weekend and so spent two very long days with an free account at the coffee and tea and bacon butty and chips waggon :o At least yesterday I didn't get time to eat the chips and gravy I bought for lunch - Karma in action! ;)

    Today:

    Sausage & bean casserole

    Dyno soup

Not sure about the rest yet ;)
Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels

    Good Morning all :D
tis bright n super shiney here (although bloomin cold if you stick your snout outside)
Well done on the losses everyone :T and thankyou for the congratulations :D.... eee ekk I feel like Im on the home straight ..even if it is another 4.5st away :rotfl:

Well Today is going to be a red day....
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • strawberries
    • apple
    • HM veg soup -leeks, broccoli, romanesco
    • 14g cheddar (3)
    • melon
    • orange
    • tortilla wrap - (5.5)
    • chicken -leftover roast
    • lettuce
    • cucumber
    • tomato
    • onions
    • peppers
    • tickled beetroot
    • tickled onions
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • fibre plus (B)
Now then I make that 2A+1B and 8.5syns -sooooo I need to use another B and I may well splash out and have 2 tortillas biggrin.gif-I will wait and see how big they are when Im rolling them out wink.gif Orrrrrr I may just divide the dough into less -and make them slightly bigger -once cut in 2 my head still thinks it has 2 ... and it will save a few syns for an activia tongue.gif *oooohh I am cunning* sign0151.gif

Maman -I do all the cooking so when im meal planning I will ask hubby if he has any requests for the week (he usually comes up with 1 -this week its cottage pie :p) -so then I choose the rest -although jackets with cottage cheese n salad feature quite a bit at the mo...
He doesn't eat brekkie, then I pack him up his lunch the night before, usually he opts for a salad or he will have leftovers (today is cornedbeef hash) .. I often have things for lunch I know he isn't bothered by -like fish -that way we both get what we want ;) and then for dinner we generally have the same as each other...
Im sooooo lucky that he is an easy to please soul :j

Right I had better get off for now.... have a lovely day everyone and keep at it....

Back from a lovely weekend in Pembrokeshire visiting my Mammy  She's doing really well after her 2nd lung operation in 4 months :(

I had to ‘flexi’ Saturday and Sunday as Mam doesn’t ‘do healthy’ ;) It’s the first time I’ve had to play the flexi card so I’m hoping not too much damage has been done. I certainly tried not to overdo it :)

    Today the plan is (EE):

    B: Banana, Activia yogurt
Snack: Alpen light bar (1/2 HEB)
L: 2 ryvita (1/2 HEB) with 2 dairylea triangles (HEA), Minestrone mug shot. Fresh fruit salad
    T: Stuffed trout with salad

This isn’t looking very plentiful … luckily I have also brought a plum and a pear into work.

I’ll make some soup tonight … probably sweet potato, bns & carrots. Nom nom nom. That’ll get me back on track :)

Good luck for WI this week guys & gals :)

I`m cooking for both of us with some small alterations for DH, i`ve just popped all the ingredients for a curry tomorrow in the slowcooker crock and put it into the fridge, when i come home tonight it will go in the sc overnight and i shall have cauliflower with mine and i`ve just cooked and tubbed some rice up for DH to have with his tomorrow.

I have to cook everything in advance when on late shifts and then when we both eat (DH @ home me @ w*rk) the meal just gets nuked for a few minutes.

We both get our own breakfast and lunches so it seems to work well. I have to make sure that i stay motivated though as if i`m not prepared ahead thats when it all goes to pot.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Can I join you here please? I've started the online slimming world and am aiming to lose about a stone and a half in time for summer.

I've also realised that my diet is not very healthy and as the SW plan is full of fruit and veg I think it'll help to get me back into good habits.
I have a knee injury at the moment so can't do a lot of exercise but I am going to pilates once a week.

I've got a load of the SW magazine for recipes - just need to put it all in place and stick to the plan. My biggest weakness is teatime when I'm cooking for the children as often I eat later when DH comes in and it's difficult not to pick.

So, today is EE I suppose - I've had scrambled eggs for breakfast, salad with feta (HEA) and fruit for lunch. Tonight it's the Lamb curry from this months magazine.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Mr Dizzy is at work through the week so I sort my own Breakfast and Lunch, but we eat the same 99% the rest of the time.

I may tweak it a bit for him - such as when he insists on yacky smoked haddock with mash & peas I take my spuds out before mashing his with butter, and serve mine with some carrots too and he gets as much cheese as he wants on SW burgers (I weigh my HEA) & eats white rolls. But other than that Its pretty easy to cook for us both.
