I know I asked yesterday but no-one seems to have replied yet - can someone please check the syns for Natural Confectionary Comany's Jelly Snakes? They don't appear in my Food Directory.

    Thanks

    x

    thank you :)

    Per 100g:

    325Kcal
    3.1g Protien
77.3g Carb (55.2g of which sugars)
0.2g Fat (of which saturates 0.2g)

I know they will probably be high syn, but a friend brought them over and left them so I need to label them and hide them soon! :rotfl:

Hello, I hope you don't mind if I join in? I'm doing sw on my own at home, I can't afford to go to the meetings and I prefer doing it this way. I lost 3 lbs in the first week, then another one and am hoping to have got rid of another 2 when I weigh on Tueday morning.
I always do green days as I'm vegetarian almost vegan so I tend to miss out the A choices as I'm not keen on soya milk.
    Today I've had:
porridge made with water, blueberries, ryvita and a banana (HB)
3 ryvita with tomato and cucumber
    2 apples
3 Linda McCartney sausages (6 syns) jacket potato and baked beans
    melon
and lots of fizzy water to drink.

I've got 5 stone to lose, but my initial target is to get into the next stone down, I need to lose 4 lbs to get there!

I really hope that you are taking a calcium supplement if you're not having your HEAs. I have seen the result of a lack of calcium in the diet and it's not good. My Mum has osteoporosis and it is a terrible thing to live with :(

I kind of knew you knew, TIE, but wanted to clarify for the gal who made the original inquiry, just in case

There are a few options re the Rugby/Interview clash:

    • Speak fast, and if the interviewees hesitate make that "hurry up" gesture with your hand.
    • arrange for an "urgent" phone message necessitating your return home asap
    • fix up a webcam at the field and a little screen at your place at the interview table
    • stage a dramatic collapse between interviews
    • take something out of the team coach engine, thus preventing it leaving until you are ready to join
or just ask if they can move the interview times by a teensy bit.

Thanks for the ideas Blackberry they did cheer me up :D, I think the dramatic collapse might be on the cards anyway due to nerves/stress. Am brickin it just thinking about what it all involves :rotfl:
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Evening all

I'm after your help. (pretty please with a cherry on top :D)

I have attended SW every week apart from holidays and sickness since I joined Summer 2007. If I was to put my hand on my heart and speak honestly then I think I could say that if it wasn't for the fact that I help out and for the lovely members who I see every week then I wouldn't be going to class anymore.

I'm a red and green girl but I am trying to do extra easy because of the flexibility of having unlimited and red and green foods.

My biggest achievement was getting my getting my one and a half stone award but I have put a stone of that back on :(

I think the only good day I had this week was Wednesday. The rest of the week I've had far too many syns.

I don't understand the members who can come to class and say they have little or no syns ? I can't do without my syns but I am having far too many of them.

My menu today was as follows: -

    Breakfast : hi fi (heb)
followed by tesco melon pot 200g, mullerlight toffee

lunch: 3 x jackets, ham, bit of lettuce, beetroot, m&s low fat coleslaw (syns), m&s cous cous (syns) sweet chilli sauce (Syns) cheese (HEA)

afternoon snack: treat size buttons 4 syns

tea sw beef madras and veg curry with wholemeal rice. very small piece of naan (more syns).

curry was a disaster - made it too hot so didn't eat very much of it :(

more syns have included a malibu and diet coke and an unmeasured glass of wine

oh and to cheer myself up after horrid tea, I had a home made chocolate muffin and some hagen daz ice cream. Hmm I dread to think of my syn total for today.

I want to lose the weight but I seem to relish self sabotaging so I have a bad day and it ends up being a bad week / a bad month. I've been out of target since xmas 09 and have spent the last year and a bit fluctuating / going up and down like a yo yo - I will have a good few weeks then it will all go pear shaped.

If I'm being completely honest with you all, I suffered quite badly with depression last year and I know this played a big part - when I was feeling so under the black cloud, why bother to worry what I was eating ? The depression is still impacting on me.

Please can anyone offer me any advice or tips on how to get me back on track ? How can I stop abusing my syns - i.e having my WEEKLY syn allowance DAILY? How can I get rid of the stone that i am now carrying ???

any thoughts or tips gratefully received - thank you xxx
