Hello everyone
the easter egg bunny came for me yesterday, pinned me down and made me eat chocolate:mad:
Anyway onwards - Might I even stick to it today EE or maybe even red?!!?
Break: Cereal HEB, half muller with blueberries and HEA milk
Lunch: Superfree veggie stirfry ( are carrots free on red? ) with soy, pot of supernoodles which were awful so I binned them ( wont be buying them again) Strawbs, banana and a yog.
Dinner: chicken salad. Chargrilled peppers. ( lettuce rocket watercress peppers onions radish carrot)
Hmm will consider whether this is red or not?
Hi Lynz, yes carrots are free on red0 -
Oh brill, I think today is a red day then ( the first ever!)
The way I do HM burgers is
take the mince
chop up onion really fine
mulsh it together
then form into patties.
Sometimes the meat is too lean, so I add an egg white to stop them going a bit dry.
I think Mrs M does them using a secret ingredients ( gherkins?) and I think they are AKA Ox burger.
If you search MSE you should find it under thatI love HM burgers, had them 2 days on the run this week
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hi All, it sounds like most of us have managed to avoid too much easter choccy so well done everyone!
I've had a busy day today. I was planning to go for a walk but ended up watching badminton horse trials instead! i did walk round town for an hour and a half this morning though and then had an hour and a half gardening after badminton finished so its not like I've been sat on my bum all day!!!
Today is EE:
Brekkie - banana, half a grapefruit, grapes,yogurt
Lunch - ham, salad, leftover potatoes, salad cream (2)
Snack - WM pitta (HEB), HM pesto (1), tomatoes & garlic
Tea - roast pork, mash, home grown leeks and purple sprouting broccoli, swede and carrot mash, gravy (3)
HEA is milk in cups of tea.
I'm just about to have my snack, OH is on afternoon shift so we won't have tea until after 9pm!!0 -
Mixtress, my only concern is that (today in partic) you're not actually eating a lot of food! Be careful that you don't get to the end of the day and find yourself hungry and snacking, other than that I think the actual food is fine!
And yes if you make meringue with splenda and egg white it's free..... if you're lazy like me then sainsburys ones are only 2.5 syns
Believe it or not, I am not a big eater......I bet we all say that but seriously im not, my partner says he is taking me to a private doctor for tests as he doesnt understand how I eat so little and still put weight on lol.
Il try and eat more but I was satisfied with what I had.
Today I have had
Breakfast:-
28g fruit fibre(B) milk (A)
Coffee (A)
plum.
Lunch:-
Muller light and apple (i was heading out for the afternoon)
Dinner:-
Jacket potatoes with mixed beans
Il have more fruit this evening to fill up if im hungry, today doesnt seem like I ate much and I am quite hungry, but being out shopping I found it difficult to buy something to snack on while I was out.
Tomorrow I will eat more!0 -
Here you go Jonno
These are the "OX burgers"
Ox burger
makes 6X100g burgers
• 500g extra lean minced steak
• 1 onion -finely chopped
• 1tbs capers - well chopped
• gherkin-finely chopped - (about 1tbs once chopped)
• 1tsp wholegrain mustard (0.5)
• 1tsp worcestershire sauce.
• 2tbs fat free natural yoghurt
1. Squish everything together with your hands and chill for about 1hr
2. break of 100g pieces and shape into patties (I have a burger press )
3. place back in the fridge until required
4. heat a non-stick frying pan and cook drop them in and let them seal before turning over and cooking the other side -I cooked them on a fairly high heat to stop them losing all their juices-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
I would like it known that Im accepting NO responsibility for anyone doing the "shred"
:rotfl:
Lynz- I have the "6 pack" one too -not that you can turn my wibble into a 6 pack (more like a barrel) -but Im going to use that when I get a bit more weight off
, I have her "banish fat and boost metabolism" one too -now the bits I have done of that -I LOVE...

YOU WILL deffo put weight on if you are not eating enough on slimming world. FACT. !!
Some suggestions when out and about:
Fruit bag from anywhere
Fruit salad ( I see sainsburys are doing a section in their salads section) Normal salad from salad bar ( bit boring and tricky to syn the unknown stuff) I find a punnet of blueberries is a good wandering around snack
Normal fruit an apple or something ( not my first choice!)
You have 2x B choices there to use so you could get 2x alpen lite ( 1heb) bars OR fibreplus OR ryvita minis - all good portable snacks easily found these days in newsagents/ £shops/ supermarkets.
Also you have had no syns either, so if I was you on a green Id have gone to a chinese for lunch and had a stirfried veg & boiled rice for 5 syns!packet of crisps or snackjacks or something!
the cheapest IMO is cereal bars or ryvita minis! fruit can be expensive already cut up.
I would say you risk not losing ( or certainly not losing as quickly enough) if you dont eat enough! so get scoffing:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Can anyone suggest low syn and veggie ideas for a royal wedding brunch? I've somehow agreed to host one for my 3 friends but am now worried what to serve. I'm the only veggie so friends will bring any meat options if they want some. So far I have thought of HM SF dips (hummus/tsatsiki), veggie sticks, cheese and pickled onions/pineapple on sticks, salads (normal/potato/beetroot), falafals.
Any other suggestions?
I want to attempt to make a low syn trifle, and low syn scones if they exist?
Cheers
