TIE: I can't check the breakaway for you, but have you googled the product name and the word "minimins" - usually gets you a reference to it on the minimins site
Failing that try the 20 cals = 1 syn rule of thumb?
I'm definately giving up sugar. 4 cornettos laterNothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Who makes Breakaways?
Have had a look but don't know the manufacturer.

Well I gained 0.5bloody goddamn teeth & *week :mad::rotfl:
HeyHo it WILL come off next week & a bit more0 -
Annie,
You do know that Granary rolls/bread is not a healthy extra?
Its got nuts in it and probably not enough fibre to be a healthy extra!
You need to get Wholemeal, which is different.
HTH
And I've had a naughty day today.
Start again tomorrow, and will donate the rest of the rolls to my mum. Every day's a school day, as they say!!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
Good evening all -better late than never ehh
Hellllloooo to the newbies,
well done to those with losses :T
and to those with itty bitty gains -you will whip them off again in no time
Well I posted this over on minimins BUT I will put it here too ... I am rather :jas when I was chatting to mum yesterday we were on about how hubby had mentioned that I walk differently (I probably walk now instead of waddling) now and mum pondered if I would be taller now there wasn't as much weight pressing down on my joints -WELL hubby measured me last night and I have "grown" from just under 5ft5" to 5ft6" -which of course makes my goal weight closer
-so now instead of 10st 10 being the top end of my range its 11st 1lb ...thats a whole 5lbs closer .... so Im now just 3st3lbs away from the top end of my healthy BMI -get the tape measures out ladies:rotfl:
Its a bank holiday here tomorrow so we went 10 pin bowling earlier -not much exercise but it all helps
Anyway Im on my usual red day carb curfew -that looked like this:-
pineapple
banana
250ml semi (A)
227g jacket (B)
cottage cheese
lettuce
cucumber
tomato
peppers
tickled beetroot
tickled cabbage
fibre plus bar (B)
piri piri chicken kebabs
salad *as above*
250ml semi (A)
activia (2.5)
so thats 2A+Bs and 2.5 syns
Tomorrow we are driving out to the lake - its flatter so better for hubbies knees -amazingly the cross country jog took it out on his knees but not mine  -the plan is to jog as much as possible and Im hoping to convince myself that I will go round twice -even if it it part jog, part walk .... I think I may have taken to jogging
ooohh My lovely mum lost another 1lb this week :j -so 12lb off in 12 weeks -she is thrilled as she isn't half starving, isn't eating junk and has lost her sweet tooth (now THAT one is a miracle)-mum doesn't have a big appetite and never has -but boy can she go to town on something sweet :rotfl: -her fave thing now is her beloved porridge with mixed berries under it...
Skint -I don't mind at all if you eat like I do-you are right I gave up a lot of stuff and I really haven't missed any of it, and I just feel so much better for it and now I consider what effect things are going to have -are they just "tasty" or are they nutritious? -hope it works the same for you.
Well hubby reckons I need help- after bowling I decided to nip into the supermarket under the alley as I wanted "something nice" ( I can't remember the last time I felt like that)-I left hubby in the bowling alley and went in search -up n down all the aisles looking for *IT* .... in the end I cam out with 6 jars of tickled onions, 2 jars tickled beetroot and 2 jars tickled cabbage  -as out of the whole blinkin supermarket it was all I fancied  -
right enough yapping from me.. sleep well all and have a good weekend!!

Basically eating SW free food and healthy extras, but with paul's ideas of eating slowly and only when hungry until you're full. If I really want something which would be outside of SW I'll use syns or be flexible on syns, as long as it doesn't become a regular thing!
Morning Ladies,
Skint i think this would be a great idea, surely this is more of a "normal" way of eating anyway. I think the problem with Slimming World sometimes is people take the "you can eat as much as you want" saying literally and eat and eat until they're full to bursting and wonder why they're not losing weight! Don't get me wrong i still have large portions of food and have days when i binge but i am trying to cut my portions down a bit..
Our consultant mentioned last week (for the first time) that you should be eating when you're hungry and until you are satisfied and not just eating for the sake of it, which is pretty much what Paul says.
I might join you on your experiment..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
