    Good evening all

I think the Wetherspoons syns will be down to frying mushrooms etc and a lot of places fry steaks in butter/oil mix and baste as they cook ...I was sat looking through the eating out guide the other day and it doesn't half make me chuckle at what syns are stuffed in somethings

Well it has been another nice day here, hubby will be back some time tonight -so today was another "just me to sort" day -which looked like this:-
    red carb curfew
    banana
    frozen cherries
    frozen raspberries
    activia
    (2.5)
    227g jacket (B)
    cottage cheese
    lettuce
    cucumber
    tomato
    peppers
    onions
    celery
    tickled cabbage
    tickled beetroot

    pineapple
    fibre plus (B)
    pork steak
    avocado (5)
    salad
    *as above*
    activia (2.5)
    250ml semi (A)
    250ml semi (A)
    1tsp camp (0.5)

SO that makes 2A+Bs and 10.5syns
Hopefully tomorrow we will get out for a game or 3 of bowling and "may" just "may" walk there and back depending on the weather and how full of energy we are feeling. If not then I may well drag hubby out jogging in the morning -that way we can bowl friday and then I can get another jog squished in on Saturday ;)
    Have a lovely evening all....

First, You wouldn't gain 3lb of 'fat' over night so will probably be water retention.
Second, is today your normal weigh day? If not WHY are you weighing [slaps your wrists].
But seriously don't turn a lovely day like your anniversary into something thats full of guilt. Keep away from the scales and weigh once a week as your weight flucuates[sp?] hour to hour, day to day.
Please don't feel so bad, tomorrows another day :A.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Congratulations :j
I bet your really chuffed, what do you think helped with the loss? did you do lots of exercise whilst there, or just not eat as much?

    xxxx
  • Hi everyone,

My WI day is tuesday and I lost 1lb this week. I am amazed as I have eaten my weight in chocolate but I have been to the gym twice after a long absence due to an operation. Aiming for 2lb next week :-)

    Evening folks,

Weigh in tonight and I lost just 1/2 lb. Not very pleased with that really cos I've really tried at the EE and expected a bit more of a loss. Never mind I will try and do some more EE days and see what next week brings.

Well done to all the losers. DIZZY - glad to hear that your not so grumpy today - no one could blame you for being grumpy but I'm glad you feel a bit better. xx

I have worked in similar places in the past and the jacket spuds were supplied pre-cooked and packaged in oil, ready to microwave, so maybe that's why? I know when I worked in the wetherspoons chain as much of the food as possible was microwavable. They used to cook the steaks on a grill, so that wouldn't havwe added any fat.[/QUOTE]

Wetherspoons have said not as have people who work in the kitchens. Perhaps a call to SW HQ might enlighten us as to why they are so high in syns
