Well folks -another red carb curfew for me:-
Mrs M, you are such an inspiration! Sorry if you've already explained (I've been off line for a while) but what is this carb curfew that you are doing so well with?
I started with the curfew just as a test and to shake things up, and I love them they seem to really agree with my system :j. I know they wouldn't be for everyone but I am amazed at how much better I feel.
Basically I have to have the last of my carbs by 2:30pm .... So I mainly do red days and use my heBs for lunch so usually a jacket potato of ryvitas or peas with my fish etc and then I have my fibre plus bar as my 2nd HeB about 2:15pm and then anything after that is carb free -so often its salads or veggies with meat, avocado etc.
I find the fibre plus bar mid afternoon lasts me until my evening meal and then all I ever have after that is an activia intensely -but thats only because I don't get hungry. The other thing I have found is that Im not constantly munching fruit mindlessly -in fact I have apples in the bowl that have been there for a week so Im rolling them up the garden for the wild rabbits :rotfl: -so this week I have only bought my beloved pineapples -it is seriously gonna save me a bomb on the amount of fruit I normally buy :j - I have to be looking at spending at least €10 a week less :T
I hope that makes sense (if not give me a yell) , like I say I know it wouldn't suit everyone -but its perfect for me...
Hope all the lovely folks on here are having a good evening

Glad you've got your car back.....hopefully they've sorted the problem for you
yup Ive got listerine that I use anyway so I'l just rinse with that and tell my OH to not get too close
Hey Ive just had a thought about your pants and the 'dodgy bum seam'.......
you've not been eating DYNO ROD soup have you??? you might have corroded the stitching with the fumes :rotfl::rotfl:x x:D LOL
:D You could be on to something there Dizzy, think I better reinforce all my pants
Confused, I am rubbish at sewing to be honest, I was going to attempt it but I think I will ask someone other able bodied person to do it for me, would hate to only have one days wear out of them after having them for so long.
I forgot about superspeed not being superfree, ahhhhh so confusing xx0 -
Pagan/ Pagen Crisprolls
they are so nice! http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Crackers/Pagen_Wholegrain_Krisprolls_225g.html
They are quite dry but very crunchy and remarkably filling for what they are. I have a small pot of cottage cheese with them. (quark/ philli type good) You get quite a lot in the bag as well.:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I've just been for an actual walk, with my trainers on and ipod playing and I really enjoyed it! Who'd have thunk it.
I may also have to try this Dyno Rod soup, I've been prescribed iron tablets and, well, bunged up doesn't even start to describe how I feel!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
Morning all! It's looking like another lovely day here! I hope this weather holds for my wedding!
MrsM.....as you are managing to eat less fruit, I seem to be eating more and more!!! That's not a bad thing though as it means I'm eating less other stuff!
Last night's chilli turned out to be lamb dhansak!!! The lentils made it look like mince! I really must start labelling stuff that goes into the freezer!!
A funny thing happened last night......I left food on my plate!! And I didn't have anything else to eat from finishing tea to going to bed! I'm normally a 'clear the plate' kind of girl which is my biggest problem so I was very impressed with myself. It must be because I'm so determined to get the last couple of pounds off before the wedding!
OH and I went for a lovely walk last night too, that's 4 walks in 5 days. Tonight we're having tea at OH's parents so as long as the weather is still ok I'm going to set off early and walk over.....it's 5 miles so I should have earnt my tea by the time I get there!!!
Sooo, EE today as MIL doesn't do enough veg for me to do SE!
Brekkie - porridge, banana
Lunch - large mixed salad with a bit of rice salad, beetroot salad, sw quiche (lots of m.rooms and onions), pineapple and grapes
Tea - ???, will probably include some syns as MIL cooks with oil (and often lots of other naughties!!)
Snacks - plums, might have a weetabix oaty bar for supper depending on what MIL cooks
WI tomorrow, didn't get there last week so interesting to see what the scales say. it'll be * week too so I'm not expecting any miracles but a pound off would be nice!0 -
Thanks, Mrs M - it sounds quite hard! I have my HEB in the evening with my cup of tea, but I might have a go. Keep up the good work, can't believe you have lost so much, fantastic.0

Good Morning all
Tis lovely and glorious here
Well hubby has left for his golf competition -and will be back tomorrow evening -so until then I only have myself to sort out...
I made another fritatta/crustless quiche.... today it is bacon, onion, red pepper, tomato and extra strong Cheddar and it will be just 1/2 HeA per portion -nomnomnom
Today will be a less active day -although I may well get the wii out later or if I feel like it I might do the shred. I went on the wii fit fit the first time in yonks last night -its so long since I went on that I had lost 1st 12lbs since last time . I was suprised how some things had changed -my balance last time was 65% -last night it was 100% , I did the jog thing and I got 100% on the run thing too, then I beat my 10min hula hoop record -oooh and my ski jump one ....
Well as is now normal Im having a red carb curfew that will look like this:-
fresh pineapple
banana
frittata (0.5 HeA)
ratatouille (0.5)
71g peas (B)
fibre plus (B)
pineapple
lamb steak
1/4tsp oil (0.5) -to stir fry:-
onions
carrots
peppers
celery
mushrooms
activia (2.5)
250ml semi (A)
125ml semi (0.5xHeA)
1tsp camp (0.5)
So thats 2A+Bs and 4 syns....
Thanks, Mrs M - it sounds quite hard! I have my HEB in the evening with my cup of tea, but I might have a go. Keep up the good work, can't believe you have lost so much, fantastic.
Lisa- I used to eat obscene amounts of fruit, even though I know its not one of the worse things I could eat -when you are eating the amounts I was its still lots of "good sugars". Fruit really was the last thing in my diet that I needed to learn to control and at last I think I may have nailed it :j .......
Hope everyone is on the mend....
Have a lovely day all and keep at it!!!
