    Hey Confused!
Don't feel down - you're one of the gee-er uppers amongst us! You have always been very supportive and helpful - we're all allowed an off week/day.

I'm glad you wrote about the Mexican bake thing as I was thinking of having a go - its always better if someone has roadtested it first as I'm a rubbish cook and never sure whether my efforts are right or not!

    Keep smiling ;) xxxxx

Hi there, google 'Joe's Sausages' or 'synfree sausages' should get you a result. He seems to sell mostly in the North although you can mail order them.

    Evening all

    Well done losers and (((confused57)))

    Green day for me:

B - oats (HEB), FF yog
L - salad, pot salad (2syns for LF mayo), HB egg
D - sauted new pots (olive oil = HEB), 2 x eggs fried in frylight, 2 x quorn sausage, beans, LF coleslaw (3.5syns), LF ketchup (2syns)
Snacks - banana, strawberries, pear, kitkat (5.5syns), cheese (HEA)
Drinks - coffee (milk = HEA), water, squash

    Total syns = 13

I've been starving all afternoon :( but popped to Morrisons on way from one office to the other and got some strawberries to tide me over! I'm also craving choc (*week) so really looking forward to the Kitkat later :D

Hi folks :) Not a good WI this week as I put on 2.5lbs - that would be because I was following the 'scone' diet lol. That's what happens when the kids are off on holiday!

Anyway, congrats to all those who are staying firmly on the wagon.

Can anyone tell me if the roast chicken mugshot is free on EE? I have a suspicion it might be 1 syn.

Also, what do you add to your chilli? I've added garlic, cumin, ground coriander, paprika, tinned toms, chopped chilli and salt and pepper to the mince and done it in the slow cooker - but it tastes as if it's lacking something. It's not very 'rich' if you know what I mean. Was going to add tom puree but didn't have any.

In the end I added a couple of tablespoons of gravy granules and it made all the difference! Yum. :)
  • Hi All! Just got back from holiday about an hour ago and getting ready to go to WI tonight :eek::eek:!! Not looking forward to it as I've eaten rubbish the whole time I've been away! I'm going to go tonight, check the damage and then draw a line under it! I'm actually quite proud of myself that I'm going at all as in the past I would have missed the wi to give myself an extra week to be good and thats when it all goes to pot and I never go back.

The problem I have now though is while I was away I had a couple of unexpected bills that have left me really really skint  so my food shopping for the next two weeks is going to have to be on a really strict budget!! This is including an Easter Sunday meal for four that I've promised to do! The main meal is sorted as luckily I have a joint of pork in the freezer so just spuds and veg to buy to make a sw friendly roast but I'm really stuck for SW style, budget starters and pud! Any ideas?!?! :D

    Thanks in advance

Lynz and Dizzy - Thank you both so much for your kind words. I think you are right and that I really have not ate enough for ages now. I am going to try to up my free foods. I usually do red and green days cos I started on them and can't really get my head around extra easy. I have worked today and really couldn't concentrate (which is not good in my job) - mental health support. It's quite funny really - I'm there supporting the mentally ill (which I thoroughly enjoy) but I really need some support myself for the weight thing!!!! I have made the mexican bake from out of the new magazine today and it's absolutely lovely, really easy and very tasty and also very cheap. I am going to have it for tea with a chicken portion as a healthy extra B.

Hun EE is just so easy! Do you have any questions, what dont you get? We can help you :D

    Im on an EE today:

banana strawbs and a small bowl of heb CEREAL
lunch : chicken & black bean sauce with egg fried rice 5.5
4 cans of diet coke (lol)
Dinner is I think a chicken from the rotisserie place over the road and salad or a chicken kebab as OH hasnt really prepared any catering today :D
Snacks: More fruit ( starfruits this time) and half a yog & a dime bar (7)

I should also have another heb which could be a WM pitta or another bowl of cereal if I can handle it :D Am feeling v starvin today which is what tends to happen on 3 green days on the run

So want to try these toffee oaty bars :D

Anna how about a nice soup, like parsnip or tomato or butternut squash? Or melon and ham? Baked mushrooms with breadcrumbs (HEB naturally) with cottage cheese/ philli / quark.

Pudding what about a lovely fruit salad :D or thepretty-much-syn-free roulade? Or baked rice pudding? http://www.tiana-coconut.com/rice_pudding.htm might be nice, im sure there would be some variations on this. Otherwise frozen mullers :D all round

evening all. Well done to the losers and STS (anything that isn't a gain is good in my eyes!), and hugs to those who need them.

Today morphed into a red day in the end because I needed two HEBs for a sandwich. SO this evening I had fish and just a pile of veg.
I do feel quite bloated, although there's no reason why that should be.

I'm still struggling a bit with the evenings and trying to avoid the temptation to nibble. Am even thinking of resorting to doing the ironing!!!

I'm really enjoying reading everyone's posts for inspiration and support.
    Trying to keep in budget.
