confused57 wrote: »Hi all, well I weighed in tonight and PUT ON 1lb. Really fed up cos I have been trying really hard this week. I think I'm not eating enough (still living in the bedroom while kitchen is being finished, not long now I hope!).
I'm trying not to get too depressed over it (not easy).
Awww Confused*big Dizzy hugs*
I'l put money on it that if you KNOW you're being 'good'......then I reckon the answer is you're not eating enough hun. And thats understandable when you're living without the kitchen at the mo.....cant be very easy
Can you Up your fruit a bit so you can munch on that.....or buy a pre done salad & chuck some ham in it just to get a quick 'ready type snack in' and up the superfrees? or mugshots maybe?
Im on my way with the tank ........ YOU WILL NOT SLIP INTO THE REALMS OF FAIRY LAND BECAUSE OF THISx x x

Started SW last week,at the weekend I was given a v large veg steamer and a blender. Are there any well used recipes that I can particularly use these for? Also i am going shopping today,I see light alpen seems popular,is that better than other cereal?
Steamed veg are lovely - they retain all their colour and seem to taste nicer altogether. The blender will come in useful for making soups....have a look at the recipe thread for ideas. Please don't be tempted to make smoothies unless you're prepared to syn themhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/40936144#Comment_40936144
I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I've done SW in the past but not for years now. I've lost some weight lately without particularly trying to but it's very sporadic (lose 4 lbs and put two or three back on with a couple of weeks of non-stop-eating). So I'm thinking that I might try to get along to a group tonight, even though there aren't any very local and I work 30 miles away so might need to get to different Thursday ones if I'm home late. Does anyone else weigh in at different groups sometimes and does it feel at all awkward? Thanks for reading!
It's fine to do this, just remember to take your book and card as proof you're a member. Be prepared to introduce yourself to other members and I'm sure you'll have a good time.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I went to a different club today for weigh in and boy did it cause chaos with the computer!
As I'd not been for 3 weeks with shift work/illness/being out. I'd phoned my consultant and she had emailed the consultant today but the computer said no!
So had to be added as a forgotton member and basically rejoin with a new card and pin but still only paid for this week.
Trouble is I'm now registered there (and can nly go in the holidays to daytime groups) so need to get my consultant to move me back to her group again.
I was going to go on holiday to the weigh in as there are 2 really close to where we are staying but they have said today if I do the system will be all mudled again so have booked next week as holiday - and will no doubt cause chaos once again week after:rotfl:
Anyway good news is I lost 4lbs!!!
Am so happy as that is the most I've ever lost in a week and had wondered how I'd do not going for 3 weeks was thinking I'd of maintained. So only 1.5lb off my 3 stone target now.
Reckon that loss today will help keep me in check next week when I'm away for the week in the New Forest:) we are self catering and I'll do lots of walking so hope to stay the same.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Afternoon all!
Just back from a morning of torture walking around the Trafford Centre and trying not to eat anything naughty (was a real struggle) and then a trip around Asda. I don't shop there very often (Mr T is much closer) but thought I have a quick whip around to see if there were any bargains or SW bits and pieces.
I had a Weetabix Oaty Toffee bar - very nice! Am I right in thinking this is a HEB?
Today's food will be....(green again)
Breakfast - Weetabix Oaty bar (B choice?)
Lunch - grapes, banana, small jacket spud and beans
Dinner - Asda chick pea dahl (this is still free right?), microwave rice (3syns)
Snacks - more fruit, Vimto ice lolly (2 syns), ryvita minis (B choice)
I need to get an A choice in there - probably cheese with the spud?
An afternoon of schoolwork, hoovering and dog walking beckons (after lunch though!)0 -

Had WI this morning and 1.5lb off, taking me past my 2.5 stone:j I've just over half a stone to go to my target although target was very arbitrary when I set it. I just plucked a figure from the air that was about what I vaguely remember being 10 years ago.
Our club was very strange. Lots of members missing due to school holidays and our consultant was poorly so very strident and bossy area manager took the class - very few stayed!
I'm away from tomorrow and have worked out I'll only be home for 4 days in the next 14. I'll do my best but even STS would be a miracle with all the eating out, drinking etc Realistically, it will be May before I can really focus properly on the plan.
EE today:
B: NAS squash, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, HEB toast, HEA milk in teas
L: toast and Marmite (will have some fruit later)
D:liver & onions, carrots, cabbage, peas, mash and gravy (may syn some cornflour)
Have some apples, clementines, a grapefruit and bananas to eat up before I go away, although some may go with me.0 -
Thanks consultant 31,it was the smoothies I was wondering about.0

Hello folks,
Lynz and Dizzy - Thank you both so much for your kind words. I think you are right and that I really have not ate enough for ages now. I am going to try to up my free foods. I usually do red and green days cos I started on them and can't really get my head around extra easy. I have worked today and really couldn't concentrate (which is not good in my job) - mental health support. It's quite funny really - I'm there supporting the mentally ill (which I thoroughly enjoy) but I really need some support myself for the weight thing!!!! I have made the mexican bake from out of the new magazine today and it's absolutely lovely, really easy and very tasty and also very cheap. I am going to have it for tea with a chicken portion as a healthy extra B.
I will also make a batch of dynorod soup and hopefully next week will be a better result. I need 9lb off now to get back within target range. I'm sorry to let the 10 week challenge people down.
Thanks again. I love this thread - I get as much support from here as I do from going to the group (although I love the group as well), it's like meeting a group of friends on a weekly basis.
NOTE TO NEWBIES: Please don't read my post and be disheartened in any way. It's just a blip, I lost 3 stone in 10 months in 2008 and have kept most of it off. Slimming World WORKS !!!!!!
Sorry to go on (I feel better now!)
