Thanks for your kind wishes guys. My mum was diagnosed with cancer of the bile duct on friday. She'll be given chemo as there is no cure. So I've been slightly off plan over the weekend. Foodwise I've done OK.....actually no I haven't. I attempted to eat a kebab last night, but I was past hunger really so I only had a few mouthfulls. Today I was doing really well. Mum came over for dinner and we had the roast dinner as planned with SW roasties. She ate well today which was a lot better than last sunday when she hardly touched her food. But after she left I decided that we should go to the social club for a few drinks. Does anyone know the syns in 2 pints of fosters and a rolo ice cream?? Anyway will def be back on plan tomorrow both food and drink wise as I don't want to STS or worse on thurs. Am planning to cook the fiery pork burgers from last months mag, has anyone tried them?LBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

So sorry to hear about your mum. Be strong. When my mum was diagnosed it was very late into her illness and all we could do was keep going on as if nothing bad was the matter with her (I think she knew really but never let on). Very tough time for you. Big hugs xxx0 -
sorry to hear about your mum rachelww1
just so you know - SW website doesn't say pint values - but 500ml of fosters is 8.5 syns. Rolo ice cream isn't on the website, but most other Nestle ice cream lollies are between 7-10 - not the most useful search - sorry!Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.100 -
so sorry about your mum Rachel, sending you loads of hugs, I lost my own mum to breast cancer almost 3 years ago now and so I know the pain you must be feeling right now.
Still on plan at the moment so doing well, it's tough when I'm working though as I can't get enough superfree in but will get there I guessAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -

Thanks for my birthday wishes, and thanks dizzy im glad you said that cos i have been feeling soooo guilty for my indulgences this weekend, and my stomach feels like its doubled in size! Have been drinking since Saturday 4pm, and still at it :-p but this is my last one before bed, and back to reality tomorro!!

Glad you're enjoying your birthday susie. Obviously today is very 'flexi' but tomorrow is a new bright shiny day!!!:D
Just wanted to echo what susie said, there's a lovely lot of supportive, kind people on this thread and it's not just about SW.:T:A0 -
Hi all! Yes, Rachel, we are all for you and for your mum and family. Life is the pits sometimes, yet I am amazed at the strength and courage people show at the most tragic times.
Please, a syn question: syns in fresh coconut please, couldn't see it in the food optimising book and I am long locked out of the website ...
And a desperate cry; since I started SW before Christmas my skin has broken out in the most awful spots, mostly on my chin. It's the opposite of what I would have expected. Any tips please? I use cleanser, and antibiotic gel on script, and have been taking oxytet as well, and NO improvement! I am desperate!:(
