Day 2 of Paul
VERY odd things are happening. 3 things are co-inciding at the moment: first a few weeks ago I started getting told by several friends at different times that I was very quiet, and was I ok. As far as I was concerned I was fine, normal, what were they noticing about me that I couldn't see? Then I had an appointment with my homeopathist (could talk about homeopathy for hours but I will refrain for now) and took the next remedy for me. Then I started Paul McKenna.
Now, I have such a strong sensation in my solar plexus its unbelieveable. Feels like a cross between hunger, illness, and that panicky pit of the stomach feeling I sometimes get if I'm feeling very stressed. Been tearful and dodgy guts when I haven't eaten anything dodgy. Because I'm recognising it as emotional I'm not stuffing myself with food, so its sticking around. I try to be intuitive about lots of things in life (I work with reiki and other similar things) and it feels as if I've just got to sit this one out and let it pass. Its not unpleasant to experience, but its like observing an unpleasant feeling from the outside, if that makes sense? Very strange, but I feel as if I am emotionally detoxing, which presumably was happening anyway but has been speeded up and intensified by following Paul and taking the remedy.
As for my actual eating habits, apart from more WM bread yesterday than SW would have allowed, I have so far made very SW ish choices, and eaten much less in terms of volume. Result!Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Yikes Baby! A plaster cast will weigh much more than just 1lb, so don't be disheartened. Skint, am I right in thinking you had a cast a few months ago? Do you know how much yours weighed?
Susie - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day, and I hope the cake was lovely
Good luck with Paul Skint!0 -
Can anyone tell me if chocolate cake with hot fudge sauce is free on any days
If you find out please pass it on!
Also if anyone can devise a syn free wine that would be good!
Anyway, I feel lots better now - thanks to you all for you lovely support (esp Dizzy).
I have taken the dog to the park, done 45 mins of bl**dy Nell McAndrew (10 more mins than last time) and cleaned the whole house incuding downstairs windows.
Am officially kn*ckered!
Unsurprisingly I'm not very hungry today! Have had a whole load of fruit to keep me going until tea time but am not peckish at all.
Bet it won't last!0 -

Yep, mine weighed a ton!Didn't have it weighed, but if its a plaster of paris (white, leaves chalky residue everywhere) it felt like it weighed about 7lbs, even if you take into account my feeble state and call it half that its still quite a bit!
(I can't find the original post, but hugs and commiserations to whoever has broken whatever!)
The modern fibreglass bandages weigh far less, but in all honesty there is so much fluid retention and very weird stuff going on for such a long time with broken and injured things, I wouldn't worry too much about a couple of lbs fluctuations either way.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

This is just a theory based on what you've said but might it be the after effects of your leg problems? A bit like past-traumatic stress? It certainly seems to have had a major impact on your life in recent months and maybe now you're coming out the other side? Good to see you posting, do update us on developments.
EE Day here:
B: NAS squash, 2 boiled eggs, HE toast and HE milk in teas
L: ham & salad sandwich, bowl of berries with FF yogurtroast chicken, carrots, roast potatoes, cauli, cabbage, gravy (2?)

Beautiful sunny here, hope you're all having a good day. I'm going to drag DH out for a bit of a walk.0 -

Could be maman, although I'm inclined to think that I did plenty of crying/moaning/feeling blue at the time, and I thought PTSD was more evident when you don't get the reactions until long afterwards?
Whatever it is, I can't properly explain it, but it feels good that something is being released.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
babyb06 don't be disheartened by this week, I definitely think your plastercast will weigh at least a couple lbs. Stick to the plan this week and you'll be able to see the correct difference in your weight (presuming your cast will still be on next weigh in) then you'll have a nice week when the cast comes off!
lost 4lbs on my first week back on the plan, so hopefully can keep it up so I get to where I'm comfortable again weight-wise before the weather gets too hot (hate feeling uncomfortable in the heat).
Had a lovely warm salad today for lunch:
Roast sweet potato (in frylight and paprika)
Roast sweet peppers and courgette (frylight and herbs)
chickpea and grated carrot (with a squeeze of lemon juice, black pepper and half a tsp of wholegrain mustard)
on a bed of mixed lettuce, with sliced fresh boiled beetroot,
28g of grated cheese scattered on top (A) and 57g of houmous on the side (B)
Because of the houmous and cheese it felt a bit more substantial and I didn't need any dressing.0lbs/18lbs to get to club 100 -
Ahem!
+1lb
