Thanks for the spending responses guys. I really have NO idea how I am spending so much! for example I've just done a top up shop today which cost £23, so I'll try to make that last a week. Mr S has nice pestol 1/2 price at £1 a jar at the mo, its not many syns and a little goes a long way, so I like that on pasta on a bare cupboards day.

Had a moment earlier, quite annoyed with self. I ate 4 yoghurts in a row, subconsciously :o Had I have realised and made a conscious decision of course i wouldn't have eaten all 4 at once! They're synned ones too!

... made the cardinal sin today of calling in sick to class. I know its a slippery slope from here, but I feel so bloated I couldn't face a gain on the scales, and money is now super tight so every little helps. I promise I will go next week, and I will have a week of 100% on plan days.

Still. I found Paul McKenna's book & CD in a charity shop today (as well as a GORGEOUS leather handbag for £8 but we won't mourn for that because I didn't need it, it would have been a whimsical purchase and I couldn't afford it so left it there *sniff*). CD is a tad scratched but for £2 I'll give it a whirl.

    Hello all

I've been away from the thread for awhile due to illness (vertigo/viral labrinthytis), I didn't feel up to following SW whilst so ill. But I'm feeling better now so today was Day 1 back on plan :) I've put on a bout 4lbs since being ill (2months) so not that bad.

    Green day:

B - oats (HEB), FF yog
L - HM SF carrot and lentil soup, salad, potatoes, mayo (2syns)
D - omelette - onions, garlic, pots, peppers, eggs, cheese (HEA), sauted pots in olive oil (HEB), LF ketchup (2syn)
Snacks - 2 x small bananas, HB egg, pickled onion space raiders (3.5syns), pear
Drinks - water, squash, coffee (milk = HEA)

    Total syns = 7.5

I still can't really exercise yet as I feel too dizzy but hoping to get back to gym soon.

Hope you have all been doing well on your SW journeys

    Hello all!

SkintSlimmer - I won't comment on the shopping budget - mine is far too high!!!!! Am hoping it will go down doing SW as I will be cooking more from scratch rather than buying ready made stuff. :money:

Day 3 of SW - all is going well :j

Have to say it is easier than limiting my calories as I used to, not been hungry at all the last few days.

    Red Day
    B - omellete with chicken
    S - banana
L - ham salad with egg
    S - fruit salad (300g)
D - Cajun chicken with ratatouille and baked baby potatoes (HEB)
HEA - skimmed milk for tea throughout the day.
Possible snack later - mullerlight yougurt

Finding it hard to get 2 HEA and HEB into my normal meals - not too sure how important it is to do so (still waiting on my SW books to be delivered) as could easily eat a few nuts or a bit of cheese if needed, but don't want them.

    BabyB
    Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:
    Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44
    Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.10

Popped to Mr T's and bought some meringue nests, frozen berries and fat free fromage frais - put it all together and all I can say is YUM!
Will definitely do that again - feels like a proper dessert! Had 2 nests but next time could make do with 1.

    So syns for today...
    2 from pasta and sauce
    6 from meringues
    2 from nutella

    Total = 10

I'm amazed at the difference in syns of meringue nests! Sainsburys are 2.5, tesco normal (13g) are 3, tesco finest (13.5g) are 2.5.

Worth knowing if you want to try and claw back some syns from somewhere without noticing the difference!

Blackberry-rum, do you mind if I ask where you buy your butter-buds from please? I saw them in the Lakeland shop today, but they seemed so expensive I wondered if there's anywhere else that sells them. They seem like such a good idea.
  • pollysg: I think that's the only place they are available from, unless you can find them online. They are expensive, but when I have used them in the past I have found that they do last you a very long time!

WELL - tonight I have eaten properly and just had 6 syns today so hopefully I'll have a good week and break the chain of staying the same. HERE'S HOPING!!!!!!!

G AND B Glad to hear your daughter is out of hospital.

    Good luck all. x

I [STRIKE]do[/STRIKE] did that (for me it was Tuesday night), and although I was still losing it was at the rate of half a pound a week.

So last week I made sure I stuck to plan on Tuesday AND wrote everything down and stuck to plan all week - and lost 2lbs! I am really pleased because that puts me only 2lbs away from target, and I had set myself the challenge of making target for Easter, so I *might* just do it!

    xx

Hi, I'm out of target by 8lbs and really need to get my rear in gear and get back in. I can't believe I was so good when I was getting to target (3 stone in 10 months with only one small gain one week)

You'll get to your target - go for it! x
