Been AWOL since thursday as DD was rushed to hospital:( Spent all weekend in with her and was at the mercy of the canteen and vending machines!
She is on the mend now and i am back on the wagon, think i've put on the 4 lbs i managed to lose last week though:o
Hope everyone is ok, not had a chance to read back. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hi Charley, it's 1 or 2 As and 2 Bs on red and green.
G&B I hope your DD is back to full strength soon!
Lots of good losses and sparkley shiney stickers!! Well done everyone!!
MrsM that's a lovely necklace!
Lynz - I'm a flats girl, and everyone comments on how slim I look when I wear heels! Maybe I should wear them more often.
EE day for me today!
Lunch
Jacket potato, loads of carrots and cheese (HEA).
Dinner
Pork loins, potato, carrots, brocolli and mushrooms.
Snack
I have a Krispy Kreme doughnut that I might treat myself to. Only had 2 syns yesterday so it'll cover both days.
I had a little sneaky weigh at home this morning and for the first time ever my scales had the number 8!! Ok so it was 8st 13lb and 3/4, but it was under 9!Just need to hope that translates onto the proper scales tomorrow and that will mean I'm at target.

Oh G&B sorry to hear about DD, hope that's the end of whatever happened to her and looking forward to healthier times ahead for you both x
May I ask a personal question to you all? Don't worry its not your knicker sizebut how much per adult head do you spend on food, on SW?
I have just totted up how much I am spending on food and I am shocked! I am a frugal shopper, and hardly ever eat meat, relying on veggies and beans and pulses for protein instead, eat the value range where possible, buy on multibuy etc, but By George my shopping is racking up the pennies at the moment! Bearing in mind its just me I shop for, I spent £50 on food which was delivered a week ago on Monday. I reckon I've got less than a fiver's worth of that left, and spent maybe £5 on toiletries and non-food. That's £40 of food in a week for just me! ok I have eaten 3 meals a day for 9 days on it, and I suspect my portion sizes before I got a grip on myself had a lot to answer for, but I used to budget £25 a week and eat healthily.. now I have no idea how I did that!Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Morning all..
Well done on the shiney's everyone and for all the other loses too! I think the incentive of warm weather is definitely spurring me on.. i can't wear my "cover up" cardy in 25 degrees can i!! :rotfl:
G&B - hope your daughter is ok.. hospitals are not the greatest places to be anyway, let alone trying to find some healthy to eat in there.. I think there's actually a Greggs in one of our local ones
Good Luck for tomorrow Lil_me!!
Green day again for me
B - apple, yogurt, alpen light (3)
L - spaghetti hoops
T - Spanish Chicken and chorizo risotto (without the chorizo unless OH goes to the shop) HEB
S - milk in tea (HEA) orange, french fries (4)
So i need another HEB and HEA - i may have ryvita and triangles as a supper snack later but i'll be busy making a novelty shark cake tonight so may not have time...
have a good day xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
G+B -hope your DD is back to full health soon -and don't fret if you have gained those 4lbs back, you had no choice and you will soon whip them off again :T
Skint_slimmer, I would say I spend about an average €150 a month for both of us - I have weeks where its up as I take advantage of offers, then weeks where I only need water, fruit, veg and milk. I'm hoping that I can stick with the curb curfew as I have noticed Im snacking on fruit a LOT less than normal
Normally the second I have eaten my dinner I have a piece of fruit -then I would have my fibre plus, an activia and then more fruit... Now I have my dinner and then don't think of food again until I make myself have my activia -So *hopefully* it is going to work out cheaper-and thats on mainly RED days .
My portions are much smaller than they used to be - but its finding the balance so that you aren't hungry more often after meals so end up eating extras..-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Skint.....I spend about £200 per month on 2 of us but that also includes all cleaning products and most toiletries. I now buy my meat from a local butchers and most fruit from the market. i still get most veg from the supermarket though. Since I've been buying the fruit from the market we eat loads more as I can afford to get more of the fruits we prefer such as melon, grapes, pineapple, mango. I use either morrison's or tesco depending on what I want. I meal plan and make up a shopping list from the plan and I do stick to my list unless theres a good offer on something that't I buy regularly and will be needing soon (unless its something that doesn't keep!!). I do cook everything from scratch too and I find that makes a huge difference on costs.
WHy not try joining the grocery challenge over on the old stye board?0 -
For two of us, I spend around £35-£45 a week.
I don't have to buy anything for lunches as the OH either takes sarnies or goes to M&S for lunch, so thats just main meals and fruit and veg really. It's £33 so far this week, however I usually need to buy top up stuff like milk, bread and juice, and the odd veg pack.
Some stuff adds up simply just 'popping' in mr S and grabbing an apple or fruit pack or two.Slimming WorldWeek 1 B]-7[/B Week 2 B]+1[/B Week 3 B]STS[/B Week 4 COLOR=DarkOrange]STS-3-2[/B Week 7 COLOR=Red]-1+2[/B Week 9 COLOR=Red]-2[/COLOR

Thanks guys, she had pneumonia and is on 3 types of antibiotics but is much better than she was. She spent friday/saturday in the High Dependency Unit so it was a little scary for a while. Unfortunately we're used to it as this is her 9th bout of pneumonia in 2 years, all requiring admission to hospital.
On a cheerier note i'm having a green day:D
Using an A for tea/coffee
Breakfast Tea, banana, yoghurt
Lunch WM pitta(B), salad, 3 falafel(4.5), pickled beetroot, rice
Dinner will be Tesco meat free burglar(0.5), WM roll(B), ketchup(1), beans, wedges.
Snacks - alpen light(3), meringue x 2(5), strawberries, yoghurt, melon.
1A+2B and 14 syns used. Might use my other A for cheese at dinner, will decide later. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Oh my goodness, that must be terribly worrying to have your daughter in hospital so often - I hope she's a lot better now and stays in good health - will it help that summer's on the way?
So after what seems like ages of faffing, lurking on this thread, stopping and starting, I have reset my online weight record and got serious. SO far I've had three very good days and today's looking good so far.
I have had:
B: porrige (28g oats, 10g sultanas, 10g seeds, 100ml milk HEA,B and 4 syns)
L: stir fry with lots of veg, mangofish, potato wedges, veg. yoghurt and honey (1 syn)
snacks are choc chip cookie so far (3.5 syns).
My problem is in the evenings between finishing dinner (I eat quite early at 6) and going to bed. Yesterday I had an options chocolate drink but it didn't quite hit the spot. Any ideas?
I have taken my 'target trousers' out of storage and hung them up for encouragement!!Trying to keep in budget.
