Can I just ask a question about target and maintanence please? Am I right in thinking to maintain, we just have one healthy extra A OR B per day? ie not both....? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

hi all
well have been really good this week .. having started on monday.. feel quite proud of me and the husband!!
tomorrow poses a bit of a problem though as im out all day and have no access to a microwave .. am going to be near shops and dont want to spoil all my work this week by buying a pasty or somthing!!//
have you got any ideas of what i could have as a lunch to go on a green day??0 -
Have you got access to a kettle? If so im going to recommend ainsley couscous
as usual or something like mugshot pasta etc
If you are out and bout the obvious choice is jacket potato and beans from a caff. which is free of course. Other JP fillings like coleslawor cottage cheese youd have to guess the syns in the sauces as obviously they are seldom the fat free stuff. Otherwise egg beans and mushrooms toast from a caff ( syn the oil, depending if they can poach you the egg etc)
Another good option is to find a chinese takeaway and have a dinner from there - boiled rice of course one of the low syn ones like beef in oyster sauce. Is 5 syns IIRC
I was very happy yesterday in the park say out with my pagens, cottage cheese and couscous salad, yoghurt and frui for pud. Most summery and pretty cheap which is what I need right now. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? STEP AWAY FROM THE PASTRY!!!!!
Make a salad, or buy a salad. You can buy salads from subway, or M&S, or get a jacket potato somewhere.
TBH your best bet is to make something at home and take it with you. Will you have access to a kettle/boiling water? You can get Batchelors pasta pot shots/noodles which just take boiling water and are low syns.0 -
hi all
An EE day today and it is "on the cheap" due to the fact that OH lost his job yesterday _pale_
So food is:
strawbs & yog & kiwi plus egg half tin spaghetti mushrooms
Lunch when I get back is frozen Chicken curry (1 syn) leftovers with jacket potato
Tea: leftover beef stew with a lot more veg than meat lol ( free) with SW roasties and sugar snap peas on the side.
Hope everyone has a great day! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Lisa26, that's a great idea to prep a salad for teatime. It'll be just enough to keep me from grazing the kids plates but still super free.
I can't quite believe how much fruit and veg I'm eating on the plan. Has anyone made the Free hoummous that was in last month's magazine, if it's nice I thought that would make a nice snack with crudites.Trying to keep in budget.

Don't know about the Batchelors stuff, but Mugshots are 5 for £2 in Asda at the moment.:)TakeItEazy wrote: »Morning all, quick question
Batchelors mug pasta thingies anyone know the syn values please? Mr T has them on offer and mugshots are a bit pricey at the moment so hoping Batchelors are free/low syns.
Thanks in advance0 -

Well kind of - he worked for the government. He was only a temp ( despite being there for years) and thus yesterday he was told, you have to go, no money for you, clear your desk, escorted out of the building. They told him a few days ago that he was secure until October. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most?
