    Hi peeps

i`ve been lurking for a while and wondered whether or not to post :o

I`ve recently dug out my old SW books with just the red and green days and i`m going to have a go on my own without classes.

I`ve done a basic meal plan for 7 days - well 7 weeks actually as i work shifts and its difficult to eat properly unless i plan well ahead. I`ve not worked out my HE`s etc to add to it yet so will work on that a little later if i get the chance any suggestions are more than welcome. I wondered if you peeps would have a quick look at the basic plan for this week and let me know if it looks ok or not.

This is the plan so far :-

Red SC Chicken paprika & leeks and cauliflower/2 Slices bacon & 2 boiled eggs / Tuna on toast/Grapefruit

Green SW Egg fried rice Porridge /hm lentil soup /Apple

Red SW Rogan josh & cauli rice/Cheese & pepper omelette / hm veg soup - large green salad/Tangerine

    Green SW Wedges & beans/Porridge /jacket potato & beans/ grapefruit

Red SC Chicken paprika & leeks and cauliflower/2 Slices bacon & 2 boiled eggs / Tuna on toast/Strawberries

Green SW Egg fried rice Porridge /hm veg soup or pasta & pesto salad /Banana

Green HM Pizza/cauli pizza / Porridge / Pasta & mushrooms & red pesto Melon

I`ve tried to include things that i can take to work and reheat quickly as i usually get around 15 mins for a break depending which area i`m working in. I sometimes work in an office alone for a while and that is when i start snacking, i`m not a fruit eater at all and i`m hoping to change that. I`m going to allow myself a bag of quavers (5 syns) and a small voddie most days as my treats (2x2.5ml = 5 syns) I`m deliberately leaving out potatoes, rice and pasta on the red days as they really set me off craving carbs :o

    Thanks everyone.

    SD

Seems ok to me but as I said in previous post its always good to include plenty of super frees. Some of your green days don't have any but if you do manage to include some fruit that would be good.

TIE - thanks for this, i`ll look through the book later to see what i can include, i also plan on making yogurt again and adding fresh fruit. I`ve got lazy and been using the thick greek yogurt as a starter but i`ll go back to making the low fat one instead and straining it to make it thicker - actually i think i shall leave half to strain fully and use it as LF soft cheese and add a few chives. A few things are coming back to me now :D

I do have a memory like a sieve though :o Lots of notes for me so that i don`t go astray this time.

Consultant - thanks for the welcome :D

    Evening everyone

I'm hoping you can all help me? Would love a chinese tonight but I'm not sure what is the best thing to have (being a newbie, I'm flummoxed ! :o)

I can have either red or green today ..... eating so far:

    B - 28g shredded wheat bitesize (HEB1), Milk (HEA1), pear
L - Butternut squash soup, 1 slice bread (5 syns) and spread (1 syn) Satsuma
    D - chinese ??

    HEB2 - HiFi Bar
    HEA2 - Yet to have

So I have a possible 9 syns left, but I don't mind going a bit over that as I've been to the gym today :D.

Hi Majjak, I'm laughing cos' I just came on to ask the very same question :rotfl: My kids want chinese tonight but I couldn't think what would be best for me to get.

I think chicken with black bean sauce is 7.5 syns, but I don't know what anything else might be.

I normally have beef with mushrooms from Chinese which is 4.5 syns with plain rice which is free. Other good options are chicken in black bean sauce which is 5 or chicken in oyster sauce which is 4.5 all on EE

Thanks for the responses everyone, I had chicken chow mein, probably not the best choice :o but I really fancied it and I don't think it's too high in syns (she says, fingers crossed!)

I've been under my syns most of this week so I don't think one chinese dish will hurt too much. I'll be being good for the rest of the weekend too (can you see my halo shining from over there?) :A:rotfl:

Chicken Chow Mein - 7 syns on EE and Green, 11.5 syns on Red.

Good choice! It's what I tend to go for, fills me right up and feels quite naughty.
