I have just made the bun recipe posted by Nessie - didn't make buns but did 2 Victoria Sponge cake rounds. They cooked in about 10 mins on 180C

Seem to be ok. Got a nice cake like consistency but they are a bit more bendy than a traditional cake. Don't worry if yours are very flexible - they do firm up once cool ;)

I am also draining some Tesco Light Choices Fromage Frais to thicken it up a bit (hope no one comes along now and tells me it isn't free once drained - I don't want another mackerelgate going on!). I am going to add some splenda and lemon extract to it before I use it to fill the cake. Also will be adding some fresh raspberries to it.

Family are coming down tomorrow for a mothers day lunch (not sure where the treat come into that for me - I am doing the cooking!). Thought I would try a SW dessert that will look like an ordinary one.

I will report back tomorrow how it has gone down. Sounds lovely to me and with some of the Fromage Frais spread over the top and a few raspberries sprinkled over it - should look lovely - yummmmm. If I remember I will try and take a photo of the finished item. I will need to be quick if the family arrive first

I forgot to say - using the Fromage Frais and the raspberries shaves off 8 syns making it only 10 syns for the whole cake :T
    6 Eggs (free)
14 level tablespoons of Splenda (free)
2 oz Self Raising Flour (9 Syns)
2 teaspoons of Baking Powder(1 Syn)
Couple of drops of Vanilla Essence (free)
2 Tablespoons of Nutella (8 Syns) Replaced by free Fromage Frais

  • Hello all! Sorry to be really cheeky, but I couldn't make the meeting this week so missed out on the password for lifeline and have only been for a couple of weeks so don't know anyone in the group to ask! Could someone PM me? Thank you :)

Baffled, there is no password for lifeline these days. You were given a PIN when you joined your class, and once you enter that on the SW website and then CHOOSE YOUR OWN PASSWORD you are in for good
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    Hi Peeps

i`ve been struggling to keep up a bit over the last few days as it won`t let me log in from w*rk for some reason

I have been a good girly though :D

Green day today although i didn`t really fancy it but i`ve done a fair few red days so thought that i ought to throw one in.

Brekkie was porridge with a spoon of hm jam

Dinner was a small jacket potato with cottage cheese

    Tea was cheats paella

A snack earlier was an egg sandwich one one small slice of seeded bread and i shall probably have a small glass of wine shortly.

All my HEB`s were thrown into the paella and my HEA was milk in cuppas this morning.

I always feel bloated after a green day so i`m looking forward to a red one tomorrow :D

    Have a good evening everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Ooh that sounds nice consultant31, thanks :) I don't have any ginger but do have the other ingredients - do you think it'll matter or do you think that's an essential ingredient?

I wouldn't really think so since it's only a teaspoonful. Perhaps you could add something else to give it a bit of a 'kick'. I often put a teaspoon of Balti spice in my soups and it gives a lovely flavour.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I did manage to use a few syns too on 3 sachets of white choc options (these have been my new 8pm curfew treat, with a splash of milk from my allowance they really do hit the craving spot amazingly well......I think they also take me back to my childhood when my mum used to make me hot milk with sugar or golden syrup it in :p

    [/QUOTE]

Mum's have a lot to answer for don't they? :rotfl::rotfl: Mine always made porridge with Ideal milk and golden syrup in and it's the only way I like it now which puts it out of reach :(

Hello everyone, I wondered if anyone could recommend a nice curry recipe. I'm not very keen on tomatoey ones and that's all I seem to be able to find. Thanks.
