Wow you lot can talk. I go to sleep for 12 hours and there's 4 pages to get through!!
Seriously though, this thread is so much more encouraging than the group I went to as either people just weighed and left or there just wasn't enough time for people to talk about stuff once everyone's losses etc had been read out.
Anyway, Lynz yesI work in a hospital - home to barmy ideas. It's a new infection control thing apparantly, no drinks allowed out on the ward or unit. They get away with it because they say you can drink, but you have to go somewhere else to do it.
Because I work on ITU it's not possible, for safety reasons, for me to be ducking off every hour, down to the staff room to have a drink. The last couple of nights I've been in the single side room on my own with someone. If in the 5 mins I'm gone, she woke up a bit and ended pulling her breathing tube out and disconnecting herself from the ventilator, I'd be up for disciplinary, not to mention the guilt I'd feel!
I do think too that the constant change in shifts, days to nights in the same week etc, doesn't help weight loss/gain (would love to blame it completely!), neither does the stress. It's to do with cortisol levels apparantly. It is a factor, but ultimately it's still down to my laziness and bad choices which I make when tired/stressed.0 -

I have to say that does sound scrumptious! I never thought of putting fat free yoghurt in it to bind burgers, I did some once and they sort of just crumbled when I shaped them into patties haha. Still tasted beautiful though, especially with bacon on top with melted cheese.... **drooool**
Been so far so good this week, did put a 1lb on WI day (Saturday), but after my 7lb loss last week im not worried and i'm sure it'll show up this week
Food so far today;
B - 28g bran flakes & 125ml ss milk (HEB) (1/2 HEA)
L - Dyno Rod soup left chunky, with wholemeal and plain pasta stirred in and possibly a slice of wholemeal bread
T- Quorn burgers??
Not sure about tea today, as I may be off to a friends BBQ this evening... may have to pop into sainsburys and see if they have any quorn burgers on offer to keep the syns low as i'm sure some alcohol will be around. Not really sure what low syn ready made stuff I could take with me? I'm open to suggestions!

why not take a tub of pasta salad with you, or potato salad (make a dressing for it with FF fromage frais & some mustard powder) or some ainsley cous cous with chopped up salady bits.0 -
Talking of Alpen lights - has anyone tried the new double chocolate alpen light bars? really nice - not as good as fibre plus or fudge alpen lights!
Anyone got the new mag yet?
Anyone heard about the new hifi bar coming out (limited edition!) you get 2 for healthy extra - 6 in a pack for £2 (i think) and they are butterscotch flavour! nom nom nom can't wait!
I bought the double choc alpens, they are nice but not as nice as the choc/orange or choc/fudge ones IMO.
Got the new mag delivered yesterday, only had a quick flick through it but there are some nice looking recipes. Glad they have a red/green section as usually the focus is on EE which i never do.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Have a great day everyone... looks like i'm off to class tonight to rejoin for the 4th time in as many years!!!
Don't be embarrassed about rejoining......as the old saying goes "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again". If you join with a real commitment to make the necessary changes, you will succeed
Sorry to hear about your cat yoemma
Good luck with the referral MinxtressI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
just finished by 12week referral vouchers- lost 24lbs (1stone 10lbs) in that time
dont think I will be going for "weigh ins" anymore as cant really justify the money to stand on the scales--- plan to continue the plan and use some weightwatchers scales that I have invested in. Hope you guys dont mind me popping on here and counting weigh in day on my scales....might also be asking some syn questions as wont have access to the calculator any more0 -
Change of plan for tea today, were not going to the BBQ now as the OH is staying to work at uni till eight-ish.
Going to have jacket spuds, with salad and cheese instead
I'm gonna have to find some nice things to snack of before my late tea though, so might have my evening ryvita's and veg sticks now or have an alpen light or something, hopefully to tide me over until then. Although I do have a load of syns that I could use too so may have a packet of walkers baked crisps! Hello! Could I ask all you SW experts out there a quick question?! I've recently started (using the books bought off Ebay having success a few years ago going to the classes!) but I'm not sure whether I should be having 2 or 3 healthy extras? Is it 1 from section A and 1 or 2 from section B? I was always under the impression it was 3 HEs but my paperwork says one from each and I'm confused! I do red/green days... not extra easy if that makes a difference! Thanks!0

I have had a wisdom tooth out this morning (ouch!) - eating is not easy! Managed 2 yoghurts so far, might have some mashed potato soon.
Don't think I'll be eating any salad/fruit/vege or much food other than weetabix, yoghurt and mash potato for a couple of days.
I normally don't lose weight if I don't eat the full plan so will see how it goes, I don't like cold soup but hope I can get onto warm sop soon as can make some nice ones to include veggies/lentils etc...
Meant to be going out for a 30th do tomorrow - curry and beer:eek: doubt I'll go as think I'll be exhausted after a day back at work and dentist says spices are not the best to eat whilst it heals up.
I won't be eating any crisps/bread or chocolate tonight thats for sure!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
