I'm sure you guys have disscussed this before but please bare with me as I'm new, can you get any syn free sausages or burgers?? If not which ones have the lowest syn values? Thank you

    http://www.joessausages.co.uk/

These are the only syn free sausages I know of, and he does a great range of them! The only problem is that you have to order a min of 8 packs, and pay delivery so it can be expensive. A couple of people in my group organise a monthly order with him, so we get it cheaper.

I love the pork and apple ones, and the garlic and herb, and the traditional..... and we've had the chinese style chicken before too which is nice.

Like Lynzpower said, I wouldn't buy syn free burgers as they are easy to make yourself! I make a mean Lamb and Mint burger. Yum.

This is MrsMs Ox Burger Recipe....... (as recommended By Mr Dizzy - who now has a serious addiction to them :o) I think we may have to send him in to Rehab :rotfl:

    Ox burger
    makes 6X100g burgers

    • 500g extra lean minced steak
    • 1 onion -finely chopped
    • 1tbs capers - well chopped
    • gherkin-finely chopped - (about 1tbs once chopped)
    • 1tsp wholegrain mustard (0.5)
    • 1tsp worcestershire sauce.
    • 2tbs fat free natural yoghurt
    1. Squish everything together with your hands and chill for about 1hr
    2. break of 100g pieces and shape into patties (I have a burger press )
    3. place back in the fridge until required
    4. heat a non-stick frying pan and drop them in and let them seal before turning over and cooking the other side -I cooked them on a fairly high heat to stop them losing all their juices -and sometimes once sealed I whack them in the oven to cook

Thanks Dizzy(and MrsM).. will be trying these the weekend!!
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

  • Thanks, DizzyK!

I have to say that does sound scrumptious! I never thought of putting fat free yoghurt in it to bind burgers, I did some once and they sort of just crumbled when I shaped them into patties haha. Still tasted beautiful though, especially with bacon on top with melted cheese.... **drooool**

Been so far so good this week, did put a 1lb on WI day (Saturday), but after my 7lb loss last week im not worried and i'm sure it'll show up this week :D

    Food so far today;
    B - 28g bran flakes & 125ml ss milk (HEB) (1/2 HEA)
L - Dyno Rod soup left chunky, with wholemeal and plain pasta stirred in and possibly a slice of wholemeal bread :D

    T- Quorn burgers??

Not sure about tea today, as I may be off to a friends BBQ this evening... may have to pop into sainsburys and see if they have any quorn burgers on offer to keep the syns low as i'm sure some alcohol will be around. Not really sure what low syn ready made stuff I could take with me? I'm open to suggestions!
