Just had a follow up email confirming the error and that I'll actually be charged £9.99
. No mention of the smoothie maker, but by the sounds of it that might take a bit longer.

Just received emails from Grattons and one from Freemans that they have now changed their minds after telling me no last night and the smoothie maker is out of stock till the end of March but will be despatched as soon as.......:D (I can have them for £9.99 and not £29.99 ):D

Yes I have had the same email back from Grattans about the toothbrush, as far as Freemans go they basically sent me an email this morning stating if i didnt want the heads then send them back I think I may send them another email and see what happens0

I phoned them the other day about the free gift and this is what I had today:
With reference to our recent telephone conversation, which took place on the 24th of February 2005 regarding a free gift.
We have spoken to the relevant department who have advised us that we require some further information before we can resolve your enquiry, please answer the following questions.
1. How you were offered the gift.
2. Where did you see the offer.
3. Was there an order code to quote.
On receipt of the above information we will be able to assist you further.
If you have any further queries please e-mail again.

So I wrote back
Hello, I did not email you in the first place I phoned you and a lot of questions for a free gift if you are not going to honour the agreement tell me now I shall return the purchase I made and buy nothing from you again.
You did not send me a confirmation of my order at all and the first I knew it had been placed was when it arrived. Not very good customer service to say the least.
There was NO code to quote and in answer to the other questions I did a search for grattan and clicked on this link

Toothbrush arrived just now, paperworks GIVES price of £29.99 hwoever the email I got mentioned that it would and a price adjustment would be given which would result as the final price of £9.99
"A reorder has been dealt. The toothbrush will come out with paperwork showing the item at £29.99, but when the item is despatched, an adjustment will be made to reduce the item to £9.99."

i originally just sent the brush heads back to grattons. but after reading the last few posts i thought dam it why should these big companies get away with empty promises etc just to get our details bla bla.
so i have also sent them an assertive email asking when and where is my smoothie maker and toothbrush gonna arrive.....0
