I, kids pay full fares (age 2+)...if airlines ban them they will lose out on so much money.. they will go bust!!

I would imagine that a goodly amount of the worst 'offenders' are toddlers who spend the time on their parent/s lap and you have paid (approx) 10% of a 'full' fare.

Even if child does pay a 'full fare', they will still (sometimes & it varies) get a discount on an adult ticket price. For my forthcoming flight, it worked out at a 10% discount.

No problem with " kids " it is some of their parents that fail to know how to bring them up properly, that is the real problem.

And lets not forget the alcohol fuelled stag parties and football supporters - and a lot of those are old enough to know better!

My children always behaved themselves on planes. So I don't see why we should be shoved in with badly behaved children as some sort of punishment for existing, quite frankly. What's so special about the childless that they shouldn't have to take their turn sitting next to the brats?

To people who like a quiet flight there is no such thing as a well behaved child. All children make a terrible yapping noise. Whether the parents might regard a particular yapping as a well behaved yapping or a badly behaved yapping is irrelevant.

Would they be the same " parents " that allow their little darlings to constantly kick at the seat in front of them ?

have a look at the aircraft knee defender a truly wonderful piece of kit :D
Wonderful perhaps for the seller who for ten years plus has been cashing in on gullible travellers who are naive enough to believe that they have a right to prevent a fellow passenger from reclining their seat and that their use of the knee defender won't result in a broken tray table, a knee defenderectomy or at best a fight they are destined to lose with even the most sympathetic of airline staff. ;)

supply and demand - the very thing that our capitalist society is founded upon .

Personally (given that the airlines aren't going to take out rows of seats to allow a comfortable flight in cattle class), I'd be happy to see the recline function disabled.

And another thing - why do people always decide to go to the toilet as soon as the food service starts which results in cabin crew having to reverse their carts to the nearest bulkhead to allow a pax to get past?

And the same happens when that person has finished their 'business'.

It's the smell of the food which makes me start puking :(

I do wonder if I am the only person who deliberately selects an aisle seat next to the toilets :rotfl:

....anyone who wants a child free flight should have more realistic expectations and consider flying outside of school holidays.

Having spent a five hour flight being kicked in the ribs at 30 second intervals by the child in the seat behind this is my choice every time. Nothing personal but parents of young children need to understand that the rest of the world doesn't find their children as sweet and entertaining as they do :)
