How much do I wish I was at home today...the weather is far too nice to be at work.

Sat in the garden eating my breakfast this morning, looking at the things I could be getting on with if I was a home today. Was only there for 10 mins and the cat came and curled up on the bench next to me. Supposed to rain here later, so don't know if I'll get out there later for any length of time...would have been nice to have tea out there.

Anyhoo, going to pay that other £25 in 50ps in the bank today and will go and make my OP tomorrow as its all ready to go (and it will stop me spending it!).

Why is there never enought time to do stuff???

Short staffed at lunchtime, so didn't get my hour - collected next order (which I have cashback on!) and got myself a sandwich. Didn't have time to go an OP. Will try again tomorrow - I know I could do it online, but it feels so satisfying going in and getting my payment book filled in.

My breakdown cover was worth its weight in gold today - broke down on the way to work (no clutch). Turned out to be a circlip (or lack of one) that keeps the pin attached to the master cylinder in the clutch mechanism! No expensive repair, the bloke had some clips in his van, phew!

@CathT - Its definately worth it just for that piece of mind that someone will come and rescue you if you have car trouble.

    @Iris - thanks...

Been so busy I haven't had a chance to pay OP or post here.

Hoping I will get a chance tomorrow to catch up and to get that OP made - so much for getting it done last week.

On the plus side - big shop was fairly painless, spent approx £105 so far - should be a lean month as we are going away on 25th for a week.

Need to catch up with all your diaries too...

FINALLY! My first quidco payment has been confirmed (not paid yet, but we are getting there!)

Thats £25 towards the Next OP.

    Total so far: £65

Hopefully will make the difference up with savings on the grocery shopping - so grocery budget is £175 this month - should be able to do that as only 2 weeks before we go away.

Another 50p in Penguin Pot too - £12.50/£50 target.

Really hectic at home too. Two fundraisers to go until we have a little rest - then we have got to start planning the next wave. Busy at work too - Sales Rep is leaving, so that will mean more work for me until we can find a replacement (even then, if they are not up for doing paperwork, my work load will increase anyway!)

Can't wait to go away and chill for a week.

Forgot to say yesterday - broke down again! Same problem as before Hubby can out and fixed it for me - but was an hour late for work (at least it was less than if the AA had been called out again!) Glad they are understanding.

Got home last night and my previous car insurer had written to me saying they are closing the claim for the bump I had in March when someone went into the back of me - so it looks like I won't get my £100 back after all.

The police are coming to take a statement next week about the same incident and I will ask them then if they think I have any chance of success before I ring the insurance company back up.

My witness I had has not come forward and I only had a mobile number for him - not good.
