Phew! What a weekend...got all the things on the list done, just got to move the desk to the charity office tonight and then DH can put the bookcase in its place.
Just totted up the food shopping for this month - £199.02/£260 - so definately on for at least a £125 OP this month.
Get paid on Thursday, so will see what money I've got left over from this month and see if there is anything to top it up to the £150 - hope so as I'll be busting my 2011 target at this rate.
Counted up Tesco Clubcard Vouchers and I have £32.50 at the moment - so really need to decide what to do with them.
On the downside, had to pay £130 for the car tax!
Hope everyone else had a good weekend.
PS Forgot to add - when I was sorting out paperwork at the weekend, came across our mortgage swap over documents when we changed names on it. I think that I might be further down the MF road as the amount on the document as a start figure was £18k and something - really must go back and check...it only just occurred to me this morning - even if its just £100 (as the amount I have as a starting figure on my mortgage spreadsheet is £19091) it would be great.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Usually when my friends from Germany come over, we spend load of money on food and drink - and to be fair, alot gets wasted.
This time I have made a menu plan, instead of buying apple crumble I'm making it using apples from my MILs garden, I've bought cheaper Scotch Pancakes (they had them in Herr A) and I am now looking out for deals on J2Os. Going to make some blueberry muffins too. DH has bought the beer and as I haven't really felt like a glass of wine lately there are plenty of bottles sitting in the rack.
We will still go out for something to eat, but at least I have made a few savings.
Oh and 44 points to free Subway, plus another 50p in Penguin Pot - lost count again, but got to count out £25 to pay towards the mortgage and the rest will start me off again.
On the home straight with getting the house sorted. DH will vacuum throughout later and I have the shopping and a bit of tidying to do.
Hope everyone has a great bank holiday weekend.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

phew...absolutely exhausted from the weekend.
My friends have gone home now and although its sad, its a relief too.
Spent a bit of money at the weekend on food and found a couple of bargains when we went to Cheshire Oaks for the day, but all in all I was quite frugal.
The good thing is that the house is more or less straight and that is one less thing to worry about.
Made chicken and mushroom pasties last night from LO chicken from Sunday and HM pastry - they were good - not bad for a first attempt.
Going to have something light to eat tonight - we usually have a roast on a Wednesday, but with all the rich food over the last few days - some fish and warm potato salad will go down a treat!
Need to make a list of all the stuff I have in the freezer as seriously need to run it down again so I can defrost before re-stocking - I'm sure that this will save us a some money for the rest of the month.
Planning to make my £125 OP on Friday. Still got to look at how the finances stand (just in case I can sneak the OP up to £150).
Probably going to look for another holiday tonight - this will come out of the joint account...
Hope everyone had a good weekend? - going to catch up with diaries at lunchtime.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Made OP today, squeezed it up to £150 as I had £139 left in my acccount on payday and I have the £25 in 50ps to pay in, so all good.
Off to update signature.

Thanks Froggy...
Sort of got half the freezer inventory done at the weekend. Really can't cross it off the list yet as I haven't written it all down etc...
Apart from that, didn't get anything off the list done.
Colleague at work gave me a load of runner beans today - so some will go with tonights tea and the rest will probably be frozen for use later....(more stuff in the freezer!)
Put a couple more 50ps in the pot over the weekend - got to count it again.
Downloaded the driver for my printer onto the laptop on Friday it took an hour!!!!!! (Lost the CD and have turned the place upside down to find it!) It takes an hour because they want you to get impatient and buy a CD! Got it working and now its working wirelessly with the laptop. Just got to do the same on DH's laptop now, phew...Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Just booked our holiday to go away to Cyprus on 08 Oct.
We are staying quite near to the place we stayed last time we went to Cyprus in 2005??
Thought I'd got a really good deal through the web -site then the holiday would not book - web-site error and had to ring them up - glad I did - saved another £160. Couldn't go through quidco, but hey - saved more this way.
Transferred the money from our joint account as my bank account is incredibly sad after paying for the holiday - should only be overdrawn for a couple of days.
Just got to sort the insurance and the parking now and we are all set to go.
Looking forward to it, but very aware that Christmas will be upon us when we get back!!!!!Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016
