Been messing around with spreadsheets to see how much I have knocked off the mortgage time-wise.
About 3 years ago I paid £2000 off the mortgage and they lowered my payment - but it still seems like it knocked 17 months of the mortgage time????
Anyway, I seem to have knocked 10 months off the mortgage since I started OPing this year.
Have updated my signature accordingly.
Still waiting for my mortgage statement.....Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

I've been really busy and not had time to post...
Got my mortgage statement and we owe £16.8k - however, they have added a £160 charge from when we swapped the mortgage over! The problem is that we paid this in cash when DHs name got added - so got to get onto them to take this off and credit any interest we have paid, will only be a few quid, but its the principal of the thing!! LOL.
Not much else happening on the MFW front - plan to make another payment next month but I think it will be less than the regular £150 this time. Lets hope my bonus comes through this year and I can top the payment up.
Done 2 surveys since I was last on here and have got the grand total of £0.75! Keep getting screened out - oh well, will keep on at it and maybe I'll have some saved up for NEXT Christmas!
Hope all is well with everyone.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Feeling pretty stressed at the moment. Got so much going on, house is up to its neck (though DH has made a valiant attempt at getting the washing up to date), need to get bids done for charity or we will have no money to pay wages come the end of January!
Two fundraisers over the next two weekends. Got to travel to get our steel and aluminium cans cashed in tomorrow (for the charity) - so much effort, for not that much gain, but every little helps as the say!).
Got a wayward charity employee that will probably get the sack because his attitude stinks and he has had too many chances over the last couple of years...when we are desperately trying to bring money in to keep him in a job! he goes and walks off a job for a brand new customer...loosing the money, the customer and has probably damaged our reputation too!
Missing out on Christmas Fair in Ludlow and can't go to the Good Food Show either...boooo! Can't wait to break up for Christmas - I can have a rest then.
Had a bit of a crisis on Monday and couldn't stop crying, couldn't see a way to get everything done, but seem to have picked myself up a bit now and at least things are rolling...still loads to do and not sure how I'm going to get it all done to deadline, but heyho thats what you have got to do sometimes.
Sorry to go on...just needed somewhere to vent....Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Just occured to me that yesterday was my 14th Anniversary of getting the keys to my house! Wow how time flies.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Two weeks on and I've managed to pull through - the major bid writing is done, the fundraisers are out of the way and the troublesome employee has been sacked!
If that wasn't stress itself, now on to the Christmas Shopping!!!!
Going to make an OP of £100 on Friday - could make it more, but need the money for my shopping really. You never know, if I've got some left over I could always make another payment.
Should get some news soon about whether we are getting our bonus - hoping we know this week and then I can plan what I'm going to do with it (never rely on it as its company profit related).
Onward with the Christmas shopping - got my boots points and clubcard vouchers at the ready!Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Determined to keep the cost of Christmas down and then I'll have more to put towards the mortgage in the new year.
Got 6 presents today and only spent £14 - 3 of those were bought with Boots points!
Going to get Dad a cardigan and I'm hoping that they have what I want in M&S as they have 25% off Menswear and I have a £10 voucher (saved from when we swapped energy suppliers).
My cousins have asked if we can just exchange cards this year, so we are just buying for the kids - few quid saved there. And one of our friends has said the same! :TMortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Ok, got cardigan, but forgot to bring voucher to work, so just had the 25% off...BUT, DH asked me to get the same one for his Dad, so I remembered to take the voucher with me and we got the 25% and the £10 off.
Ordered friends mag subscription using £14 clubcard points. £32 left to spend on Christmas Food!
Went to town shopping with my friends on Saturday and we got some great bargains - friends son works for Superdrug and my friend has a staff discount card - they also had a staff deal on at the weekend that ment that everything own brand was half price!!! Got some more pressies (and a couple of things for myself) and got a really good deal! Bonus!
Dinner tonight is Chilli Con Carne which is in the slow cooker as we speak - got a meeting tonight and DH is off shopping again, but I am determined that we are going to eat properly on the run up to Christmas - we really can't afford (or want to be) ill this year.
Aim is to get as much done by this weekend, so there's only food shopping to do the following week. Even wrapped some presents yesterday - absolutely unknown for me. DH got the wrapping stuff and the cards down and I don't think we are going to have to buy too much in that department this year...
My target this lunchtime is to get some of DH's presents sorted - he's so difficult to buy for.
Tomorrow is shopping on the way home from work - hoping to pick myself up a new Christmas top too...always buy one every year, but missed out last year as I had the flu. Haven't bought any clothes for ages, so feel a treat coming on.
Anyway, thats me done...hope everyone else is getting Christmas wrapped up!!! LOL....Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

The chilli was lovely - got some for lunch today!!!
Didn't go down the town yesterday lunchtime as had some paperwork to catch up with.
Going today instead and still going shopping on the way home tonight.
Ordered a DVD for DH this morning after having a brainwave on the way home last night - hope it comes in time - if not it will be an IOU lol.
Friends magazine subscription is on its way - even wrapped 3 more presents last night.
On the MSE front - another 50p went into Penguin - really going to have to count him and make a deposit to the OP fund.
Good news is that the bonus is going to be forthcoming next week, so got to decide exactly what is to be done with it.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

More shopping done and money saved too.
Friend's birthday present was half price, DH's toiletries were on 3 for 2 and didn't buy Christmas top as there was nothing I liked (might end up shopping from the wardrobe again this year if I can't find anything).
Managed to order the stuff I couldn't get in store for DH online and I can collect it from store next Wednesday - at least he has some presents now, phew. Also got half price wrapping paper yesterday for special presents. Not doing too badly.
Going to a Community Carol Service tonight, so hopefully will start to feel Christmasy soon.
Need to write cards to be posted when I get home tonight and that will be another thing ticked off the list.
Will probably get my OP done on Monday now - the way the town is at lunchtime, you can't expect to go more than one place, so picking friends' birthday pressie up is priority tomorrow.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016
