Still haven't been to the bank :o

Also, forgot to get the chicken out of the freezer for tonight's tea, so will have to buy some on the way home :o

Egg Salad for lunch today (with 2 eggs, mixed beans, pickled beetroot and extra mangetout - to fill me up) plus banana and pineapple.

Shopping for a new mower for the charity tonight - I am going to buy it and then they will give me the money back after the fundraiser at the weekend - lets hope we raise enough. We have already raised £111 (profit) from Plant Sales over the last 2 1/2 weeks.

Any idea if broken mowers go for spares or repairs on ebay? The charity have 3 broken petrol mowers now and I think they may be worth more like this than just scapping them in - we need the money and they are just in the way!

Hi everyone...sorry I have been away so long - been really busy.

Fundraiser went quite well the weekend (despite it hammering it down a couple of times). Don't know how much we made yet.

Still haven't been to the bank...been so busy at work, or just haven't had the opportunity to go down there because of other people in the office going out!

Getting a bit better with the menu planning again:

Tonight we are having fish, salad & pitta bread and then going to the cinema (cheap day on tuesday, 10% off booking online and cashback too!) Going to see Star Trek - escapism here we come.

Mum's finances are coming together now and I am hoping I can get her to stick to a budget and put money by for the horrendous electricity bills - really must do something about that! Might post on the applicable board to see if I can get some advice.

Not alot else to report really. Will now try to catch up with some diaries...

That sounds delicious. Mrs E is out so I had rolls and bacon (naughty naughty :rotfl:)

The plan to meet up with your Mum for regular lunches sounds lovely, I'd like to do similar when my Mum decides to retire. At present, she travels a lot for work, my Dad barely sees her, never mind anyone else!

It is nice to spend time with your parents - just sad in my case it took sad circumstances to allow this to happen. It has made me realise what's important and I really need to be getting the balance right.

Bacon rolls are always good :) and nice if you have to eat solo.

Star Trek was good - pure escapism again - I like the way they have re-booted the franchise. Lets hope he does a good job on SW7 too.

    Hi all

Mum has paid me back for the electric bill - so my bank account is looking a little more healthy now.

Tonight's tea is LO Chicken & Something - not decided yet.

Really looking forward to finishing today.

    Happy Friday everyone!

Wow...what a busy weekend! Best bit was that we have booked our Summer Holiday - same hotel as last summer at the same price - Euros still in the drawer from our last holiday, insurance covered by our annual policy and £5 cashback which has actually tracked this time! 5 weeks and counting...

Worst bit was having to take the cat to the vet Saturday morning - she was quite poorly, but on the mend now after a shot and a few anti-biotics - bladder infection we think. Good job I put money away for these things - £56 lighter! But can't put a price on my cat's health.

And things are just manic here too...just having 5 minutes.

Succeeded in cooking at home this weekend and have had a bit of a clean up.

Still not gone to the bank - my colleagues tend to nip out and leave me to answer the phones before I have a chance to go out.

However, going to stay in on purpose this lunchtime as have some paperwork to copy for the charity and get out HMRC Charity registration sent off (this was previously done in 2003, but they say they now have no record of us as we haven't made a gift aid claim in the last 3 years!!!)

In other news, had a letter from the Funeral Directors saying that they have sent off £238 that was collected for The Diabetic Association at Dad's Funeral - not bad - he would be pleased.

Tomorrow is D Day for the bank - (maybe hehe).

Tonight's tea is Chicken StirFry - quick and easy as I have a charity meeting later.

Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend.
