    Hi MCI.

Glad the funeral went as well as they can. Things will seem strange for a while for you all but time is the best healer.

    LP

Thanks LP, you bet things are strange - no ill timed phone calls being one of the main things I am missing.

In time I know I will feel better.

    Many thanks again.

I'm glad all went well and you are all looking forward. Your mum's positive attitude will help her and all of you in the difficult times ahead.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks megela - I am sure we will; my oldest friend is coming too - like a brother to me and a son to my Mum, so a real family affair (sorry Dad!).

So, starting to get a little back to normal - have caught up on some diaries, though I am sure there will be more!

Shopping tonight - double whammy of Mr T and Herr A - though not too much to get. Have done a meal plan for the next week, but need to check out the freezer contents to complete the plan for the rest of the month.

Going straight home after shopping - been going to mum's practically everyday since Dad died and I really need to start resting now - I am absolutely shattered.

Tonight's tea is Fish with a dressing of cherry toms, lemon, chilli, basil and capers - will serve with some rice and veggies. Really looking forward to it.

Hope eveyone has a great weekend.

PS - Good news from DHs camp - his Dad will be coming home next Thursday - still nearly another week of visiting, but at least we have a date now.

Not too much on the housework front to do today as the house is still fairly tidy from having visitors - so just washing up and washing to do.

Then of course, we are going out for lunch today.

Have planned a tea tonight as I don't normally get too stuffed from thai food and of course DH will need to eat (he's up the hospital again today). We are having Salami & Tomato Pasta with fresh basil and broccoli - simple, quick and easy - just what I need this weekend.

Hope everyone has a good one.

Had a lovely lunch on Saturday - but I did end up paying - it will be last time for a while as the money I took out of the savings for the miscellaious Dad expences is coming to an end.

Cooked a beef dinner at MILs last night, but apart from that had a pretty chilled out day (especially as I didn't feel very well).

Today hasn't gone so well so far - burnt a hole in my work trousers whilst ironing them this morning - so they have had to go in the bin! I then couldn't find my house keys and had to leave the house unlocked - sent my brother down to lock up and I'll borrow his set of keys on the way home.

In other news...I did manage to have breakfast this morning and take my own lunch to work. I am making Chicken in Oyster Sauce with Rice for Tea tonight while DH is at the hospital.

Got to pop to the shops on the way home - but this is mainly for things that mum wants - so as I'm going to fetch keys from there I may as well do the shopping and get that dropped off too.

Must sort the washing out when I get home too.

I am then going to settle down and write some letters and fill some forms in - well, a few at least - need to make a start.

    Back to it.

Couldn't get the things Mum wanted from Mr T, so going to B00ts after work.

    Found my keys...eventually!

Although I got stuck in traffic this morning (due to an accident by work), I still managed to get some breakfast this morning.

Tonights tea will be Salmon with Cream & Dill Sauce, pasta and broccolli - then we are going to see Iron Man 3 (cheap day on Tues and an extra 10% off when booked online - so less than a tenner for an evening out - and I desperately need a change of scene).

Hope everyone has a nice evening.

Film was good, enjoyed it...just the escapism I needed.

Tonight is DHs last night at the hospital as his Dad will finally be coming home tomorrow - but just going to do a nice easy tea of posh sausage & mash (trouble is I forgot to get the sausages out of the freezer - so shopping for me on the way home!)

Put in a claim on £co as the purchase of mum's hearing aid batteries had not tracked.

Out my gas & electric reading in on the web-site yesterday and I am confused - owe elec £17 (expected) and even though we have used about 300 units of gas - the web-site is telling me I haven't used any! Going to have to ring them up at some point as this is ridiculous.

Nothing else to report really - mid month and not a lot happening.
