Thanks MWC - trying to - not sleeping very well and I am so tired.

    Hugs are appreciated.

Small bit of MSE today - new Mr T express opened by us at home and I have a £3 off £10 spend voucher which expires today - got to do some shopping later so going to investigate.

Leaving work at 1.30 today so I can go and make calls in private - got a feeling Mon/Tues are going to be very busy and very upsetting.

Thanks to everyone again for their support.

At a bit of a loose end while DH is at the hospital visiting his Dad - so thought I'd pop on and catch up with a few diaries.

Not sure of the exact total, but I think groceries stand at approx. £140/£200 - real figure to follow.

Thanks megela, US and the youngone.

Strange this morning as this is the day of the week I went to see him for a chat. I will still be making my way up there to see Mum and bro.

Registering the death on Monday and going to make the arrangements, so today I'm going to catch up with my friends and try to enjoy a bit of the sunshine.

DH and I have decided to do something nice tomorrow for a couple of hours, then I'm going to plant seeds while he's at the hospital visiting FIL. I'm cooking dinner tomorrow night, but it will keep my mind off things - I have insisted as I will have time to myself while DH and MIL are up the hospital.

Keeping busy, but trying to relax too. You know me - go, go, go.

On the MSE front, DH gave me £100 last night to put into the account (loan repayment from his nephew rounded up).

Pick and mix tea for us tonight as not really felt like eating and when I do, I don't feel very well - I am sure it will pass.

I know I keep saying it, but thanks again to EVERYONE for their fantastic support of me this week - I never thought that an online community could be so brilliant in good times and bad.

    Hi Everyone

    Sorry to have been AWOL.

Mixture of being busy and losing internet connection at home!

Getting things sorted now - just a couple of things to do now and I'm done - then its just wait for the funeral which is 2 weeks today.

Very up and down at the moment, but hanging in there and trying to keep my brother positive and my Mum up to date with everything and re-assuring her that I will make sure she gets every bit of financial support she is entitled to.

I am afraid that MSE has gone out of the window slightly and I have taken some money out of my personal savings for what I call 'Miscellanous Dad Expenses' which includes meals out and bits and pieces for the funeral that I don't want Mum to worry about.

But got paid today, so can do the shuffle and update my signature. Going down the town tomorrow to pay in cash & my win on the premium bonds (only £25, but my first win since I've had the bonds!)

DHs car went pop yesterday and he had to call the AA out - he's just rung me to tell me the bill is going to be £618!!!! The car isn't worth it, but he really needs his car at the moment as his Dad is still in hospital etc...looks like some money will be coming out of the joint account to help with the cost - at least we have got the money there and it won't affect the House Fund - but its really disheartening.

    Back later to update signature.

Hi MCI - was just thinking about you. Try not to worry about money at this time, you're lucky enough not to need to, and it's just another thing to cause you stress when you don't need it.

    Hope you're looking after yourself.

    Hugs, Megela x.

Thanks megela and its so sweet you were thinking about me.:o

Haven't had a good morning, but feeling a bit better now - the support I have had from my friends at work has been incredible.

I'm not particularly worrying about money, just want to get back to some normality I suppose - but being realistic, that is unlikely to happen till after the funeral.

DH has been great cooking meals and helping with housework, despite him having enough on his plate with his Dad still in hospital - to be fair, we are still behind with everything, but its not as bad as it could be.

    In other news....

Going to do my big shop later at Mr T, but have absolutely no idea what my shopping list is - going to look at that later, so the budget doesn't go completely to pot this month.

Forgot to bring the £100 that DH gave me to put in the Fund, but did bring my premium bond cheque to pay in.

As I won that and DH won £10 on a scratchcard this week, going to treat myself to a Euromillions Lottery Ticket tonight - fingers crossed!

Tonights tea is going to be a chicken, chorizo and veg concoction with some lemon & coriander cous cous - easy quick and hopefully we will be eating before 10pm tonight as DH hasn't got to go to the hosiptal tonight as its his brother's turn.

Also going to treat myself to a subway today - its the small things that keep me going.
