Thank you megela and Froggy - getting through the day today, only 4 hours to go till home time.

And thank you all for your hugs. They are helping.

    Bit calmer today.

Not much on the MSE front today - but I am definately going out tomorrow lunchtime to pay cash and coins in.

What DH can't understand is why I get more excited about him giving me a 50p for the pot rather than £100 - I think its the building it up and then being able to pay it in - more of a sense of satisfaction.

Not sure what we are having for tea tonight - I am hoping I will be able to persuade DH that we will have some fish with roast veg cous cous.

Bit better today thanks MWC and cheers for the hugs - I feel spoilt.

Managed to make the phone call I was dreading - wasn't too bad.

Another problem has reared its head with the charity, but I have taken steps to stop it escalating and although I was initially uptight about it, I have now dropped a belljar on it!:rotfl:

Colleague is still annoying, but there is not a lot I can do about it. Pretty much everyone else feels the same way, but he's in the bosses good books!

For tea, we have decided on LO red cooked beef from the freezer made into an egg fried rice dish - should be interesting.

Just waiting for DH to come back from the hospital.

    Really quick update.

Couldn't pay in cash and coins as there was powercut down town and the shops and bank were shut!

£2ish has been confirmed for next payment on £co.

Tonight's tea is (another) chicken dinner with all the trimmings - probably do garlic butter and herb.

    Catch up tomorrow.

Thank you Laura - appreciate the post.

Things arn't going too bad now, but we are still a long way from being good.

Attempting to stay on track while things are going pear shaped around you is difficult, but posting here has kept me sane and a bit more positive than I think I would have been if I wasn't.

Hope to see you posting on here more again.

    Very quick update again.

STILL haven't been to the bank - because the weather is miserable today and didn't fancy going out in it.

No meal plans for tonight as we are going out with one of my friends from work - back to the Italian restaurant we went to for DHs birthday.

Must make a shopping list for later.

    Busy day again today.

I WILL go to the bank at lunchtime (even though its raining).

Popping to £ shop to get come cake savers for tomorrows fundraiser and some cloches for the allotment.

Shopping on the way home and must remember to get a sympathy card and a birthday card.

Got to stop at Morri$$ons to get fish for Dad (and some broad bean seeds!)

Stop off at Dad's and drop stuff off, go to friends and pick up stuff for all day breakfasts for tomorrows fundraiser.

Bake some muffins for the sale tomorrow - these are a little different as we are selling them to raise money for the collection at the funeral of our charity colleague - money will go to a local hospice and Water Aid.

Cook tea, which tonight is Chicken & Rice ala EG using LO chicken from Wednesday and then settle down with DH to watch some TV with a large glass of vino.

I will pop back on after to update signature adding £2.97 £co payment and cash & coins pay in total.

    Have a good weekend everyone...

    Hi

We sold all the cakes yesterday and we received some extra donations from people to go in the collection at the funeral. We raised £47.80 in all, which I don't think is too bad.

We raised a bit for ourselves too, but not much really, enough to put some fuel in the van, or pay a month's insurance - suppose we have to look at it that way. We then took the rest of the stuff (and the churchs') to the local hospice shop - so we can now start again with a clean sheet.

Today I am doing my Saturday jobs and going to visit our family friend's grave where the gravestone has now been corrected and re-installed. Then cooking dinner at MILs. FIL will be hospital for at least another week, if not 2.

Lamb dinner with garlic and rosemary later then. yum,
