    Thanks guys.

FIL had a life saving operation yesterday evening - it was life threatening for him to have the operation (because of his other underlying health problems) and it was life threatening if he didn't - see the dilema!

Anyway, the good news is that he's come through the op despite everything. He's not out of the woods yet and there are a new set of challenges to do with his care now; but at the moment, we are taking it all one stage at a time.

Thanks for your support - it is really appreciated.:o

Lois & GG - thanks for the support.

He's been ill for a long time (over 20 years) and over the last 5 years he has got much worse (he has little strokes quite often - its a symptom of his underlying illness). This has been a complete curve ball as it isn't due to his illness.

Cheers you guys for supporting me, I've been the one at home waiting for the phone call.

Feeling a little less emotional today as he's now over the first hurdle.

    Update on things MSE.

£co payment of £32.38 put into the deposit fund this morning.

Just under £15 spent in Herr A last night (only spent that much as I wanted a couple of quick and easy things like bacon and eggs to feed DH with after he came back from the hospital late).

Tonight's spend at Mr T should be very low - I've got a £5 voucher, but don't need to spend £40 - so not going to get sucked in.

Will get to the bank next week to pay in cash & coins at some point (manic at work for first couple of days next week).

I anticipate that we will be just under the £8k mark by the end of the month. Not bad going, but heavily helped by my dividend.

Hope everyone has a great weekend - I am hoping that mine will be calmer than the last couple of days - hoping to treat myself to a glass of wine later!

    Thanks LP.

Despite his health being very poor generally, it appears that he's still got plenty of fight in him.

We are all hopeful that he will recover as well as he can.
