I never know what to get DH. We've been together so long that I've used up all the obvious choices!"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0

catshark, I know exactly what you mean - was thinking of a weekend break or something like that - but not sure - we agreed that we would spend too much this year so was thinking as a joint birthday and wedding anniversary pressie...really don't know!

Starting to work on next month's mealplan now, but need to update and confer with my freezer list to finish it off.
I want to incorporate some different things into the plan, so going to get the cookbooks / magazines out - feel like a change and a bit of an experiment.
DH is feeling much better now, but is still laying off the cheese for now - need to start introducing it back, but going to wait till next month so he's had a good rest from it.
Nothing to add on the money front. Made my shopping list for this week and I anticipate I'm going to be £7-8 under on the monthly budget of £200.
Still feeling fed up at work, I don't know - I get like this about once a year - but then I get over it - hopefully things will improve as the weather picks up (fingers crossed).
Tonight's tea is Seafood Paella maybe with some chorizo thrown in for good measure.

Abandoned the paella as was tired and couldn't be bothered - so instead I dragged 2 small portions of casserole out the freezer and some frozen HM mash and we had that instead (followed by HM choc muffins).
Haven't even attempted to go down the town today to pay in 50ps as there is snow on the ground and its FREEZING out there.
Spent just £7.05 in Herr A last night and only need 3 items from Mr T.
Tonight we are having Creamy Pesto Chicken & Bacon Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes.
I trust everyone has an excellent weekend desipe whatever the weather decides to do!

Moneywise, didn't do too badly at the weekend. Groceries have come in at £191/£200 for the month.
Used the excuse of the £5 off next shop if spend £20 to buy a couple of presents that will be squirrelled away for later in the year. So £5 off big shop on Friday!
We had some sad and shocking news at the weekend - one of the gardeners that works for our charity has died suddenly of a heart attack - he was only 45! This has really knocked us all for six especially because we knew him for a couple of years prior to him coming to work for us. It also throws up its own set of problems to do with the charity - but, we are postponing our need to be practical until after Easter.
Head really isn't in a good space today - sorry guys.

That is a shock for you - 45 is so young, and as a gardener he must have been reasonably fit.

I think Mr T and I should come and live with you as I love your menus :T
What with you and Fortune Smiles, it's a culinary delight. Maybe we could share our time between both of you?
