Mortgage No 2: £82, 595.61 (31.08.2019)

DHs blood pressure was through the roof when we first took it last night. So we waited half an hour and took it again and it was near perfect.
I am thinking that he gets himself wound up before having it taken at the doctors and with all the rushing about he usually does before hand I think that is affecting the readings.
We are going to keep taking for this week and see what he comes out at - I am praying that these tablets are working and we no longer have to worry about chopping and changing anymore. Then we can just check once a week to keep a check on him.
Counted up the 50ps last night and we have £21 worth - should be making a trip to the bank next week to pay £20 in!
£co have sent my payment, so will prob be credited to my bank account tomorrow - that will be another £5.53 in the pot.
Spent the grand total of 96p in Herr A last night for some rolls and garlic sausage.
Going to be cheating everso slightly on this weeks' shopping as I have a friend coming round on Wednesday so she can learn how to make muffins! So the eggs, muffin cases, butter and chocolate will be coming out of my weekly spends as theoretically its entertainment!
Ordered some seeds - thank you MSE e-mail. And will be going to the Body Shop tomorrow - so if I do end up buying anything - I will be using that code word!
Herr A shopping tonight, very small list.
Salmon with lime, chilli & soy - broccolli, carrots and noodles for tonights tea - meal completely from stores.
And tomorrow is Friday!

My Mum found that her bp was high at the doctor's. She ended up buying a home machine and doing daily tests which she recorded. She then took those in instead. Might be worth a thought??"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0

My thinking exactly.
I think he must have 'white coat syndrome'.
Now we have got the machine at home I just need to get him to take the readings daily so we can check if these tablets are working.
Good idea to to take the readings with him to the docs - cheers.

Still trying to find a place to put it:eek:
Might not be this weekend as going out all day Sunday and Saturday is pretty packed too.
However, planning to make a victoria sponge tomorrow for dessert for Sunday, so might just have to use it for that - just to try it out.

Its been a very wearing week this week with one thing and another.:(
Hoping next week will be better.;)
£5.53 £co payment transferred to Deposit Fund and signature updated:T.
Herr A shop last night was £5.65 - few things to get from Mr T's this evening, but not too bad. Then to Morri$ons to get some fish for my mum & dad for them to have on Mum's birthday on Sunday.
Going to memoriabilia on Sunday - looking forward to it - don't usually buy much these days, just good to look at stuff that you used to have and :eek:at how much its worth now. Its a good day out and DH and I are looking forward to spending the day together. Might be able to pick DH up his surprise B'day present too!
Not quite so much to do this weekend apart from general tidying up, chores and making a victoria sponge. But, must make a point of decluttering something as its bugging me now.
DH cooked tea last night as I wasn't feeling well and added a little ginger to the salmon, lime etc... which was very nice.
Tonights tea is Chicken & Chorizo Pasta and tomorrows tea is Spanish Style Fish Stew. Sunday will be dinner at MILs as usual with Victoria Sponge for dessert!.
Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend whatever you are doing.

What a weekend....come back to work for a rest!
Chores etc...on Saturday morning, then took my brother shopping for flowers for mum's birthday (Sunday) - I ended up looking after them at my house! and ironing my brother's jeans! - (don't ask).
Didn't make the victoria sponge as MIL had already got something for pud on Sunday - so that's now next Saturday's job.
Got to move DHs nephew tonight (was supposed to be last night - glad it wasn't) as things have gone pear-shaped at his flat and with his mate he was sharing with - so we are moving him back to my SILs.
Memorabilia was ok, not as many stalls as usual - I did manage to pick up an unusual cake tin though which should be interesting to use.
Still not feeling 100%, but you have got to carry on.
Grocery spends at approx £180/£200 - fingers crossed to come in under the £200 this month.
Got a super bargain on Friday at Mr T - shower gel on offer at 95p, coupon sent to me by Mr T for 95p = free shower gel.
Fish stew on Saturday was delish, should do that one more often - plus managed to use up loads of bits and pieces from the fridge.
Tonights meal will probably be pies from the freezer and some veggies and gravy. I don't think I am going to feel like cooking once we have sorted out DHs nephew - could be a late one.
Hope everyone had good weekends.

Still quackered...
Moved DHs nephew last night - but was surprised that we were home before 9pm and ate before 9.30pm - bonus! (Still tired though).
Not really much to report - need to get down the town this week to pay in 50ps and I have topped up my savings stamps for Mr T (now have £10 worth).
Gas and electric bills came this morning and they have taken absolutely no notice of my recent readings and are going to refund about £300 off the gas!
I'm inclined to let them get on with it as it will all work itself out - I'll just start submitting readings again from next month.
Tonights tea will be Chicken & something - haven't decided yet - but chicken is out of the freezer ready.
Happy Tuesday.
