    Monday's update:

Found the paperwork for the Reward Saver when I was tidying up over the weekend - got DH to sign it and then just thought I would check the interest rate online - its now only 1.5% gross:eek: which is less than what I get on the Online Saver - so for now the Deposit Fund is staying put!

Dividend cheque banked - just waiting for it to clear and then will top up the funds - expect a big jump in signature - really excited :j.

Got my expenses back from the Church for the carpet cleaner and DH gave me back the £100 he deposited in his account at Christmas from our change saves - this is going back in my account as I paid for the TV and this was to go towards it. So a bit of money jigging around due shortly.

I am another year older this week and Mum & Dad have already given me my card - I will be putting half the money into the Deposit Fund and I am going to spend the rest - but I don't feel right doing anything with it until my actual birthday.

I am up to £149/£200 on grocery spends after big shop and butchers shop at the weekend - going to have to be very careful for the rest of the month if I'm going to come in on budget - so a real challenge. Freezer and cupboards pretty much stocked though.

DH wasn't very well over the weekend again and we are not sure what is causing it - fatty food? (from Friday), anxiety attacks? (it got worse when we went out on Saturday night), cheese intolerance? - really don't know - he was ok during the week, just bad at the weekend. So we are going to have healthy meals as much as possible, more water to drink and absolutely no cheese!

Tonight's tea is Griddled Tuna Steaks (and a few prawns) with Lime Glaze, cous cous and roasted veggies.

    Thanks Catshark

Its tomorrow - looking forward to my birthday meal, but not being one year older.

    Hi Tilly and thanks...

Not a recipe I can point you to I am afraid - this one is ala 'misscousinitt'.

I made this using a bought organic glaze I got from Ludlow Food Festival last year - but, you could probably replicate it fairly well by making a sugar syrup and infusing with lime zest, fresh ginger and chilli and then reduce it down till thick and syrupy.

I usually heat the glaze through and pour over the plain griddled tuna once its sitting ontop of the cous cous.

For the cous cous I just fry or roast a variety of chopped veg I have lurking in the fridge - we had carrots, courgette, red onion and cherry tomatoes and then add to cous cous flavoured with lemon juice, zest and some coriander.

    Hope this helps.

DH was feeling better last night and was pleased we had a light tea. He's still not 100%, but just got to watch him to make sure we can keep his mood upbeat. I hope he doesn't get himself wound up about going out for my birthday tomorrow - as I know he would beat himself up.

Well the cheque has cleared and I have added £4k to the deposit fund:j:j:j:j

I am really excited how this is going to help us achieve our goals.

I have left myself some for spending, so there will be some treats coming my way soon!!!:T:T:T

Tonights tea is HM Pork Meatballs with Chipotle Sauce (from the freezer), Garlic Greens and Rice.

    Hope everyone is well.

Off to update that signature now.....and then a few minutes on Tilly's diary.
