Thanks ammonite...I'm glad too, would miss you guys - I can see me being here for quite some time to come!

Charity meeting went surprisingly well last night and DH had cooked tea and chilled wine for when I got home at 9.45:j.

Going christmas and birthdays shopping tonight - all budgeted for, so no worries there.

Persuaded DH that we have to eat at home when we come back from shopping as he said we should grab something out!

We have HM Lasagne from the freezer and salad tonight so a quick and easy microwave meal - might even have a glass of LO wine! lol

Chased up my paycare claim for the dentist earlier in the month and they say they haven't had it - post service strikes again! Will have to go and get another receipt from the dentist so I can re-submit claim - what a pain.

Nearly got my prescription for free today - but said 'don't I have to pay for that'. It is a medicine that is generally free but I haven't got an exemption certificate because it hasn't been prescribed for the normal purpose - so I was very honest and paid my £7.65.

    Happy Tuesday everyone.

Well done for being honest about the prescription. Extremely irritating about your dental receipt. I do wonder where letters and parcels go when they get to Planet Royal Mail!
  • LauraW and US - thank you for your kind words - think I need re-assurance at the moment before I write the biggest cheque of my life on Saturday.

ammonite - Royal mail are a complete mystery - fed up with it - that's twice this month that's happened to me.

Got to transfer the mortgage money from my savings account where I've stashed it for now (might as well get a bit of interest on it) to my current account ready for Saturday's payment - priority job when I get home.

Didn't get much in the way of presents last night except the triplets' birthday presents as their brthday is on Monday (yes my cousin had triplets!) - got a couple of ideas though.

Going to do a bit of amazon shopping at lunchtime (must not forget nectar points) and that will get one or two more things out of the way - really should make a list!

We resisted the temptation to go for something to eat last night and duly had our HM lasagne, salad and garlic bread when we got in. Only 80p expenditure on some little gem lettuce (enough left for another meal in the fridge).

Tonight, instead of having a roast or special meal that we normally do on a Wednesday, we are having Creamy Tarragon Chicken with pasta as we are all red meated out this week (3 times this week including Sunday dinner and I was going to do Lamb Chops tonight). I might make a pud though as I have some plums that need using up - I'll see how I feel.

Might do a bit of decluttering tonight?!? But again, better see how I feel when I get home.

Glad its Wednesday - all downhill from now on.

  • Well, practically everything went out the window last night.

    - Didn't transfer money - must do when I get home tonight.
    - No tidying, washing or decluttering done (though did do the washing up this morning!) Will have to see what I can get done this evening, but have charity work to do aswell
    - Fell asleep infront of the TV and DH ushered me up to bed at 10.30.

Still don't feel 100%, really bad headache today - one day I feel good and next next not so good.

Been to to the doctors this morning for a blood test and popped in the dentist to get a copy receipt so I can send off the paycare again - feel like writing on the envelope 'PLEASE DON'T LOOSE THIS ONE!'

Shopping later, Mr T, Herr A and Mr W - Mr T: Dad wants some fish and tubes of mustard (strange combination, but hey ho); Herr A: Dad wants some gorgonzola and its my regular night for Herr A shopping; then Mr W to see if they have anything for my friends birthday which is tomorrow  - then go to my Dad's as my brother wants to chat will me - Might get home around 7ish if I'm lucky...then it will be: feed cat, prepare quick tea and then drop DH up town (beginning to see nothing getting done again apart from charity stuff!).

Phew, tired just writing it all down.

Tonights tea will either be: Omelettes, Rissotto or egg fried rice - haven't decided yet and it does depend on what time I get in.

Going to try and get a bit of charity stuff done now in the remains of my lunch hour.
