Hope you come up from under the desk at some point today Ed!
In other news...
- Transferred most of our joint savings across to our new shiney online saver.
- Had the info through for the Reward Saver - just got to pin DH down to get signatures and stuff and send off forms and first deposit cheque - we should be ready for deposits soon!
- Had a lovely lunch with my friend on Saturday.
- Got loads of chores done Saturday morning and although nothing more has been crossed off the decluttering list, the house looks much better - phew!
- Charity meeting tonight and I am again not looking forward to it - really got a feeling its going to turn into a slanging match and that really doesn't help get work done.
- Finally threw some of the ancient bread products out of the freezer - so a bit more room in there.
- Have set the slow cooker to come on at 3pm to make some chicken stock for soup for tonights dinner.
Dinner will be Chicken & Vegetable Soup, Toasted Cheese Paninis and a pudding of Apple & Goosberry Pie with Custard - should be really easy to put together once I get back from my meeting.
Wishing Monday away....

Hi MCI,
I'm glad I work in a fairly sedate office. We sometimes get cross but never at eachother!
I had visions of bread with frost bite! I always find something that's been in there too long when I have a defrost. I'm running down freezer stocks at the moment so might have some odd dinners!
And... please may I have an apple-free gooseberry pie? I am a huge fan of gooseberrys... I was quite annoyed when our gooseberry bush got confused this year (the weather!) and didn't produce!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

Hi MRN
I think the bread indeed did have frost bite! Still not doing very well at emptying the freezer ready for defrost - seems like we have eaten loads and it really hasn't gone down that much. All new stuff bought is going in the other freezer.
Our office definately has its moments - especially as its all men apart from me upstairs and our accounts lady downstairs - (so you can imagine what its like when they are ill!!) Just trying to ignore them all at the moment!
Oh, and the apple-less gooseberry pie - wish I could get another one - but as you say, there weren't many gooseberries about this year, plants on my allotment didn't produce anything either - these came from a carmalite monestary that my charity does the garden for!

I may be doing this quite a bit this week..... then again I may just drop the bell jar over them all, seal it all round and leave them to suffocate.........
Hi GG

Charity meeting went better than expected last night as the culprit of everyone's displeasure didn't turn up - so we just got on with business...so managed to get home for just before 9pm (unheard of on meeting night) and got the dinner at a fairly reasonable hour.
Soup was lovely. Got two LO portions - 1 of which I have just had for lunch - delish... Didn't have the apple/gooseberry pie - saving that for wednesday pud.
Tonight DH and I are going out with my colleague from work - going to the Spanish restaurant we went to a few weeks back. DH is driving and they have their special offer on a Tuesday of any 2 tapas for £5..so although we are going out, the bill shouldn't be too much.
The stuff for the new accounts will have to be done tomorrow and we MUST sit down and make a Christmas List - time is ticking - especially as we are going away on 8th Dec.
Got to fill up with fuel on the way home - I hate it when I have to do that mid month - but needs must.
Work is busy today and everyone seems to want everything now!! (on lunch at the moment) - still got a couple of grumpy ones who are still dying of a cold - I don't feel too bad today - must have been the Chicken Soup!
Take care all.

Meal out last night was really nice and really reasonable, but I don't think we will be going out to eat again this month - need to concentrate on Freezer stuff.
Today I have:
- Made mealplan for next week and done shopping list (should come in under £20)
- Had last portion of LO soup for lunch today
- Decided I'm going to make Carrot & Coriander Soup for next week as i found a bag of carrots in the cupboard this morning, plus 2 of the recipes I am doing next week involve coriander and if I get a big bunch from the asian supermarket I will have plenty
Today I need to:
- Sort out a new landline phone for my Dad
- Get DH to sign stuff for new accounts
- Do Christmas List
Tea tonight is Pork, Red Leicester & Red Onion Sausages, Savoy Cabbage, Mash & Red Onion & Mushroom Gravy.
Really quiet at work today as 2 of the guys are out visiting customers and 1 is going early today (there are only 7 of us in the office, 1 of which works downstairs and 2 guys out in the warehouse) - people seem a little cheerier today, but can't really gauge it because of the lack of people.
The hump of the working week has now been climbed and we can now begin our decent to the weekend.
Hope everyone is ok.

Ooo carrot and corriander... one of my faves!

Haven't made soup on a regular basis for ages, so looking forward to making some different ones over the coming weeks.
I think the guys are gradually getting better, so little less grumpy.
Got a free diary from a supplier today - this doesn't happen very often these days as suppliers are cutting back on what they spend on promotional gifts.
Not alot else to report apart from tea tonight being Seafood Paella.
Happy Thursday!
MCI
