Right MSE news for today.
Have just opened an Online Saver with the Post Office for our joint savings to go into. We have the old Instant Saver which has carp interest and I was waiting for the new Online Saver to come out before sorting out. Just got to change standing orders and we are away with this one.
Have put an appication in for a Joint Reward Saver too...best of both worlds - higher interest rates with 30 days notice -BUT can get at money straight away if necessary - this will be for our Deposit/Rennovation Fund (DRF) for the new house.
We are taking £500 from our Joint Savings to set up the Reward Saver and the OP from this month that I still have in my bank account (£225) will also be going in. Should be able to crack our first £1k by 01 Dec!
DH is also going to round up the bill money he gives me from £460 to £500, so that will be an extra £40 pm to go into the Deposit Fund.
Can't wait to make my first deposits...
Tea tonight will either be hot dogs (if we decide to go up the allotment and have a bonfire) or HM Chilli Pasta Bake - with freezer and store cupboard ingredients.
Everything on my list for Saturday got done except not much cleaning got done - going to have a flick round tonight when I get home.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday - don't usually like Mondays - but today is going quite well (must be becasue my colleague who sits next to me is out on visits today!)

Had the HM Chilli Pasta Bake last night as didn't feel well again last night and we all decided it was too cold and damp to go up the allotment for a bonfire.
Waiting for the paperwork to come through for our Reward Saver and then I can make deposits - Online Saver isn't active yet either, so I will just have to wait!
Taking MIL out for a meal tonight as she was 65 on Friday. I am afraid to say that we will be having quite a few meals out in the next few weeks as this is what we tend to do when we catch up with friends.
Have signed up to the web-site of the pub we are going to tonight and got a voucher for a free glass of wine - going to sign DH up too so both me and MIL can have a free glass (DH will be driving!)
Will be getting some cubed beef out of the freezer later as we are having slow cooked beef & red wine stew tomorrow (using the timer for the first time - fingers crossed) - swapped the mealplan round a bit as got to take my god daughter and her dad to chose a puppy from my SILs dog's litter - will just have to do some mash when I get home tomorrow night - bonus.
Could have has sausage and mash I suppose as its National Sausage Week - but fancy the stew.
No charity work for me today - having a day off.
Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday.

Had a lovely meal out with the MIL and using the 2 vouchers for the wine got £6.20 off the bill! - bonus!
Got my copy receipt of the dentist on Thursday and have now re-sent it to paycare for my claim - hopefully Royal Mail won't lose it this time!
Prepared the slow cooker meal this morning before leaving and tested the timer - so all being well when I get home the stew will be nearly done and I've only got the mash to prepare.
Not much else to report MSE wise.
Hope everyone is well.

Slow cooked beef was delish - cooked for just the right amount of time instead of being cooked to death - will be planning some more slow cooker meals for in the week opposed to just at the weekend.
Fell asleep on the sofa before 10pm - was absolutely shattered after ferrying god daughter and her mum to my SILs to see and choose puppies (didn't get home till 8pm and I went straight from work!!). DH had peeled the spuds and just had to cook them and some veg to go with the beef.
Still waiting for Reward Saver details to come through the post! Desperate to make those first deposits!
Shopping list done so off to Herr A tonight as usual. Groceries stand at approx £125 so far (need to check in my book at home for exact figure) - always difficult to get it under the £200 when its a 5 week month - seem to run out of everything before payday!
Tea tonight will either be be a) Omelettes - if DH is going out or b) Roasted Veg and Fish Tagine with cous cous (if he's staying in).
Not long till the weekend - don't we wish our lives away?

Happy Friday everyone:j
Got a bit more time to do chores in the morning as Dad has rung telling me not to bother coming round! (But I'm going tonight as DH is putting a blind up for them).
Going out for lunch with a friend tomorrow who I don't see very often these days - really looking forward to that.
Sunday we are going to Wales to see our friends and their children - so a day of being bounced on by nearly 1 year old and 3 year old - its always nice to see them - but I wish I had their energy.
In MSE news today, I have:
- Had free breakfast sandwich at work (someone borrowed our forklift and gave us cash, so that is now the sandwich fund) - don't normally have one, but if its going for free...:D
- Brought my lunch from home - only eaten half of it as still stuffed from breakfast.
- Read Gas and electric meters and submitted readings online - in credit with both (Credit= £4 Elec and £162 Gas)
- Have properly added up my groceries and I am at £149 so far - just 4 items to buy later (Should be about £3 worth!) If I can keep the next two weeks to £20 a week I should come in under budget - but as five week months go, there will probably be something that tips me nearer or over budget - we shall see.
Work is a bit odd today - tempers are running high and I'm just keeping my head down - I shall be using Thunderbirds to help out if things go pear shaped.;)
Tonights tea is Turkey Stroganoff with rice.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
