  • Its Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am absolutely shattered and keep thinking of all the stuff I've got to do in the next three weeks before we go away.

    Tonight we will:

    - sign paperwork for new accounts
    - print out holiday tickets
    - get all other holiday paperwork together
    - input passport numbers online for flight confirmation
    - make that elusive Christmas List

    Tomorrow I will:

    - Tidy the house, get washing done
    - Make Peaches in Brandy for our next Fundraiser (Christmas Arts & Crafts Fair - 02 Dec)
    - Pop to the cake decorating shop and get a snowflake cutter and an icing rolling pin
    - Start the dreaded declutter of the Spare Room
    - Have hair cut (lady coming to the house at 12pm)
    - See Mum & Dad
    - Catch up with friends and hopefully drag them to the garden centre so I can look for some christmas presents
    - Get home and collapse!!!!

    Sunday:

    - Make cake for nieces birthday (stage 1) Making a Pacman Cake - she's 21 next Friday
    - Weather permitting, tidy the garden
    - If I don't get to garden centre on Sat, drag DH there!
    - Sort out buffet food lists with MIL

More to come, but I'm sure that will keep me busy for the weekend!

Groceries came in at £7.50 last night and have a few things to get from Mr T tonight for us and I'm going to pick up the non-perishables for the buffet next Friday (different budget).

Tonights tea is Beef, Mushroom, Oyster Sauce & Ginger Stir Fry.

Sorry guys, but ditching my noodles from home for lunch as my colleague has gone to the chip shop - so mini fish & chips for me - I am absolutely starving - can't wait till he comes back with food.

Hope everyone has a great weekend - I can't wait to get out of here today!

...All new stuff bought is going in the other freezer.

I think that's where you might be going wrong!!!

How did you get on with your lists?! I felt like that for a while with the freezer and then suddenly after the last few random meals we had nothing left!

    Full again now of course!

Keep up the momentum MCI... you'll enjoy your holiday better without a huge 'to do' list to come back to! And remember it's ok to say "no, sorry I haven't got the time" when people try to add things to your to do list!

Thanks so much MRN...appreciate the support and yeas, if anyone else asks for anything they can go spin! (In the nicest possible way).

    ____
Shopping to do on the way home tonight for the buffet and the cake (can't buttercream without icing sugar can I?!) (Lucky Mr T have 3 for 2 on all baking stuff!)

Must remember to get the peaches too (this is now scheduled for Wednesday eveing to do).

Also going to pick up an edible pen so I can to do the eyes on the 'pac man' ghosts I'm making for the cupcakes. The whites of the eyes were ok, but I have got a feeling that the black pupils will be too fiddly for me to do in fondant.

Will make a real effort to have all the savings paperwork out for DH to sign tonight and then I can get all that sorted.

Need to make a deposit into my Premium Bonds too (before I spend the cash!) - will do this Saturday morning or during this week if I can get to the Post Office. If I do get to the main Post Office this week, I can get our Euros too (two birds with one stone!).

Home Insurance is on the menu this week as it expires on Saturday. Going to try and look at that tomorrow lunchtime (had Charity Stuff to do today!)

Spare room declutter has been started and got rid of a fair amount of rubbish/recycling. Paperwork from our friends' estate has now been boxed and put up in the loft (as the final details still haven't been sorted and I don't want it hanging about in the way for Christmas). Hoping to have 1/2 hour on it tonight to get it a little straigher than I left it on Saturday, then perhaps we can sit down on the sofa bed!

Work is manic and there is still one very grumpy one here who is not only going to get a smack in the chops if he carries on, he will definately be suffocated by the Thunderbird virtual bubble!

Change of plan for tonights tea as its likely DH won't be back till late as he's taking his mum to B&Q and then buffet shopping at Herr A (to keep costs down for her) - so an easy Pie & Mash is on the menu (nice pies made by the butcher).

Hope everyone had a great weekend...

  • Buffet Shopping - done (just fresh stuff and pitta bread to get)
Cake Stuff Shopping - done (Mr T no longer have the offer on...boo)
Peaches - got (will try to do wednesday)
Edible Pen - got (the pac man ghosts look fab - really pleased)
Savings Accounts Paperwork - still not done (will try again later)
Premium Bonds & Euros - planned for Thursday lunchtime
Home Insurance - not done yet - but next on the menu

Got home last night and buttercreamed the cake, finished the ghosts off, prepared dinner and made soup all before DH got in. Didn't bother sitting down when I got in as I knew that I wouldn't get anything done...

No decluttering done, but pleased I gor the soup done.

Got our mortgage statement saying that we had 10 years 3 months left to go!!!! Obviously one department doesn't talk to the other as we have already had a letter saying that enough funds have been received to clear the mortgage! I think I should cancel the mortgage DD just in case they try to take it on 01 Dec!

Plan for tonight is go straight home and cover the cake in yellow icing, then cook tea which tonight will be Lemon & Thyme Salmon with Rice and Veggies.

Enjoying my HM Carrot & Coriander Soup for lunch (DH took some too in a flask) - put a little cumin in it too and its really delish. Another portion is sitting in the fridge for me for tomorrow.

Home Insurance is my next task today while I still have some lunch hour.
