Charity meeting was again better than I expected. We got a load of work done and now I just have to type the bid up which I will be doing over the next couple of lunch times.
Tonight DH is going out - so next target is the Peaches and The Christmas Biscotti (after shopping at Mr T and securing the bottom of one of the banners I put up last night!)
Checked bank this morning and even though I could have sworn I cancelled the Home Insurance DD, they tried to take the money this morning. Have denied the money being taken and cancelled it (again!).
£co pay out now stands at £22.97 on next payment run - really pleased, this will go into house saves.
Tonights tea for me will be more leftovers from the buffet - roasted veg cous cous and feta cheese.
Will also cook the other chicken breast from last night (only used one) and freeze for use next week in Chicken & Chorizo Jambalaya (yes, getting next week sorted too).

Well, I totally failed on the preparation front last night. I was so tired when I got home at 7.15 and DH was going out - so he told me to curl up infront of the fire with my tea (and half a glass of wine) and catch up with strictly.
To be honest, although I feel guilty for not getting anything done, I feel better today as I am more rested.
Need to tackle chores tonight - DH said he would give me a hand and then tomorrow I will attack the things I need to do for the fundraiser.
Halfway through getting the funding bid sorted, which I could do with having done by tomorrow so people can see it before I send the draft copy off to our contact at the foundation.
Counted up Penguin last night and we have £13 in 50ps - not long to go to the next £20 - I am pretty sure that we will reach this before Christmas.
Checked banking this morning and there have been no more attempts by M&S to take money - cancellation letter has been posted too.
Need to tell my veg man not to deliver for a couple of weeks after today because of us going away (that's £12 saved).
Getting there on the present front - just one or two people I am really stuck on, so need to have a conflab with DH to see what he thinks.
Tonights tea is Lamb Chop Traybake - bung all the veg and the lamb chops in the same tray, sprinkle with herbs, garlic & olive oil and roast in the oven - nice any easy.
Middle of the week already - hope everyone is doing ok.

Hi MRN
I know what you mean - but tempers have been running high outside of the meetings as one of our trustees keeps letting us down in various ways and to be fair its all hands to the pump at the moment.
I think the fact that we have had serious work to do during the meetings has meant that the real issues have been swept under the carpet for now - we shall see.
I thought after Mondays meeting that I should be more positive, but with various things that go on between meetings I can not help but think they are going to turn into a slanging match.
I think I need to think more positive anyway in general - things are hard on the charity side at the moment and we need some positivity to pull us through.
Thanks for your encouragement - its always welcomeMortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

This time of year is always the same - if I only had Christmas to sort it would be a much simpler - but hey ho.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

:rotfl:certainly isn't, but I can think of worse things to fancy at that time in the morning.
Today's update early as continuing to finish bid at lunch time and just having a break from the most MASSIVE enquiry I think I have ever had - 87 parts and counting...(and thats saying something considering I've been here 18 years).
Payday today and I since I am still struggling to pin DH down to sign paperwork, I have decided to put the saves in our online saver for the time being - so transferred £515 this morning (£255 from last month plus mortgage money and what I would have OPed - another £290).
Cashback has been paid so waiting for that to hit my account and I will transfer that into the savings as soon as it lands.
My mission tonight for the fundraiser is to do all the things I have got to put in jars (including the peaches I've been banging on about and realised this morning that I haven't bought the brandy yet!).
Small shop for us at Herr A tonight, and a few bits for the Christmas Hamper we are putting together for the Raffle - must remember the brandy (should be a reasonable price there - might treat myself to a shot when everything is finished tonight!)
Hope everyone is well and sliding towards the weekend!
