My last bits in the freezer are usually, peas, bread more bread and ice cream. Can never make much out of it
Hi LP - wish I could say that was the dreggs of the freezer, but it wasn't - both freezers are jammed packed and those were bits and pieces that needed using up.
Was really nice though...mmmmm....Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Hi MCI, I hope you don't mind me asking, but we live in the west mids as well and are hoping to do a car boot on Sunday - where did you go to do yours? It sounds like it was a good one!
Hi Katy80
The car boot was just off the Bridgenorth Road towards the M54 (if you are coming from Bridgenorth end) - not sure they do one on a Sunday - they do one on a Saturday and it moves about to different fields along that road from week to week.
Hope that helps.

Hey MRN...it was really nice thanks.
LOL - yes DH is very useful - I sometimes have to wait a long time, but I know he can turn his hand to most DIY.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

£co have just paid £16 into my account - woohoo - knew it was coming and had already added it to my OP; but now that £205 is a definate and thats before finalising grocery spends and sweeping the bank account.
Did I say that I enjoyed last nights tea?
Anyway, tonight we have Chicken & Roasted Vegetable Tagine with Cous Cous UNLESS DH is going out and we migt just have something quick and easy like Omelette instead and have the tagine tomorrow.
Been out to get petrol and shopping at Mr T for baking ingredients this lunchtime so my time is better spent later starting the baking for the Macmillan Coffee Morning we are doing on Saturday - the carrot cake always tastes better left a couple of days.
Ususal Thurs Herr A shop on the way home - but not much at all to get so bill should be really low this week. (Mr T shop earlier counts as charity donation as it was for baking ingredients).

Had the tagine last night it was lovely - even though we didn't eat till after 10pm!
(Went down MILs and didn't get back till 8.45pm - so had to get cakes in the oven before doing tea).
Anyway, Carrot, Rasin & Apple Cake and normal Carrot Cake done and packaged up. Tonight is Blueberry Muffins, Chocolate Traybake and Plum Upsidedown Cake all the the Macmillan Coffee Morning tomorrow.
Hoping to leave work early today so I can get stuck in!
Don't think DH will be going on the roof tonight as the rain is definately coming down today!
Nice quick and easy Salmon with Cream & Dill Sauce with broccolli and pasta tonight - and maybe a glass of wine too!
After spending £4.92 in Herr A last night the grocery spends are at approx £141 - can't remember the exact figure - so looking good to add to the OP from that. Small shop again at Mr T later.
Still waiting for my dress to come for next week's party - hope it comes soon as need to try it on and see whether its any good or not.
Hope everyone has a great weekend - supposed to be sunny tomorrow and then not so good on Sunday - but will be doing chores on Sunday as seriously need to catch up!

Did a really long post yesterday, which got lost and then I didn't have time to do another one!
So, bit of an update.
Fundraiser went fairly well even though not many people came, we still raised £76 for Macmillan. We were doing a community clean up day on the same day and it was free breakfast sandwiches for the workers - but we even bagged about £9 for our charity too through selling extra bacon sandwiches to non-helpers! So, all in all, not bad.
DH and our neighbour finished the roof on Saturday, so the final cost is £30 for materials and £20 for some beer for our neighbour - pretty good going for a job that would have cost £500-£600 if we got a company in.
Had a nightmare with the cat yesterday as she brought in 3 baby rats (2 live - 1 dead; we had a right game!!) Was late for work and had to go out at lunchtime to get cleaning stuff as the WHOLE house needed disinfecting as the cat brought 2 of them upstairs.
So, got home at 5.50pm and DH helped me clean and we were finished by 9.45pm! Then I cooked tea (and opened a bottle of wine on a Monday!!!). Was absolutely knackered.
On the MFW front - the grocery spends (including the extra cleaning stuff) has come to £157.92 - hoping I won't have to buy anything else - but expecting something small to come up. So, the long and the short of that is that I have another £40 from the grocery budget to add to the OP - up to £245 before sweeping the bank account!
Tonights tea is Turkey Stroganoff using meat from the freezer.
Hope everyone is ok and the week is going well for you all.

Made a list of meals for the next month using stuff from the freezer and cupboards. Shouldn't have to buy much at all apart from fresh stuff.
Have already done some of my big shop - which wasn't much other than cleaning stuff as I am busy doing buffet prep tonight and tomorrow night.
Going to top the OP up to the round £250 for this month - which I will OP on Monday once the regular mortgage payment has gone out.
DH had is blood pressure taken today and at last it seems to be going down - he's on new tablets now and is having to have regular blood test to check for kidney function - but the new tablets on increased doseage seem to be working - fingers crossed. Todays was 145/86 - which is a massive improvement on 165/103!
Its been a very waring week, with the cat, the buffet shopping and all the preparations for the weekend aswell as DH being unwell - will be glad to make a start on actually making the food tonight.
Always do the pastry items a couple of days in advance - so tonight is mini quiches (double gloucester & chive and Smoked Bacon & Mushroom) and garlic mushroom bites.
Last nights tea was 'Pink Chicken' - chicken cooked with bacon, mushrooms, red wine, chicken stock, carrots and herbs - then finished with some creme fraiche - red wine + cream = pink, hence 'pink chicken'.
For tonight I've got some thin beef steak out that I've had in the freezer for ages - going to slice it and do either stir fry or something with gravy - depends how DH feels.
Hope the week is going ok for everyone.
