That's better now - thank you.

The egg and wedges sounds more like something I would cook! I was really disappointed in you!!

We've got boneless (yes I boned them myself) chicken thighs stuffed with garlic soft cheese and wrapped in bacon, with jacket potatoes and salad tonight. I try so hard to serve up something different, but I just get 'what is this' looks from the kids & DH!! I get so bored eating the same thing all the time.

The scallops sound great - so next time you want a quick meal it'll be scallops & wedges, yes?

:rotfl:to scallops and wedges - don't think so really, but you never know ;).

Your chicken sounds lovely...hope you enjoyed it - as long as you enjoyed it and the others ate it - take no notice!

DH gave me the money back for the breakdown cover, so off down the bank today to pay in along with the £60 from euros need to put back in the joint account.

I think that we might be sorting a few things out tonight for a car boot sale we are intending to do on Saturday - weather permitting. I've got a load of clothes - any left overs will be given to charity.

Need to take the gas and electricity readings tonight and must pick up a parcel from the post office on the way home.

Tonights Tea (not to disappoint) is Tuna Steaks with Lemon & Pepper Dressing and LO Lemon & Basil Potato Salad I made for the BBQ on Saturday (will warm it through).

Going to get some car boot stuff together tonight, so I'm sure that the house will look like a tip for the next few days.

Last nights tea was very nice! and DH had bought some strawberries, raspberries and cream - so we had that for pudding.

Tonight will be Lamb Chop traybake - chops, potatoes and veg all piled into one pan and roasted in the oven - very little effort. Got some greek style seasoning in the cupboard somewhere so going to coat the chops and pots with that add in some garlic and olive oil and away we go.

Have managed to squeeze the remaining items from the BBQ (some chicken wings and ribs that our guests brought) into the freezer upstairs. Just got to try and make room in the small downstairs chest freezer for the rare breed sausages we bought at the weekend.

Shopping list should be ultra small this week BUT they have got turkey mince on offer at Herr A this week - do I get some or not??

PS Forgot to add - gas and electric readings submitted. In credit with both. Electric only a couple of quid and gas loads!

No! Feed from the freezer meat... they'll be back on offer by the time you've made some space!

    Hi MRN

You are right of course...just can't resist a bargain. BUT I am going to take your advise and leave it well alone.

  • Shopping list done (minus Turkey Mince) and should only come to between £13 - £15 max.

Got to get bread, milk, eggs, cherry tomatoes, beetroot, lemons, fruit and cooked meat.

No car boot stuff sorted last night, but I basically know already which clothes have got to come out of the cupboards and DH has put all the car boot stuff together in the loft.

Must remember to ask for the keys to the charity office tonight so I can borrow a paste table. Weather forecast is holding for Saturday - fingers crossed.

Managed to shoehorn the sausages into the freezer last night, but ended up taking a pack back out this morning for tea as DH might be going out and I have a meeting, so tonights tea will be:

Hot dogs - with rare breed pork sausages and LO finger rolls from the BBQ - if DH isn't going out I'll probably stick a few wedges with them and some fried onions.
