Haven't bought my treat sandwich this week! BUT I am sure that we will have bacon sandwiches at the car boot tomorrow.
Weather doesn't look too clever now, but its supposed to be dry tomorrow - fingers crossed.
Only had the sausages and rolls last night as DH went out.
Didn't sleep very well last night again as I think I've got too much on my mind with the charity and stuff - we want to get a loan to start a charity shop - but its been an uphill struggle convincing people on the board that is really is a viable prospect. All agreed now and the initial loan application will be going in over the weekend.
Quick and easy tea tonight as we are sorting our car boot stuff - so the Crab Spaghetti with cherry toms, basil, lemon and chilli is on the menu (no scallops yet!)
Busy busy next week - boss it back from holiday too next week and so will have him breathing down my neck!
Anyhoo, going to go and get the couple of jobs done that I know the boss will mention on Monday - so I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Quite a successful weekend really.
Made £183 gross at the Car Boot Sale - take off £9 entry, £7 sandwiches and drinks and £8 for charity sales (took some donated items that I've had in the loft forever and sold the lot!!!) and we made £160 profit - Not bad going for a mornings work.
For the moment, this is going into our savings (all will be come clear in a few weeks).
On the MFW front - my OP is looking quite healthy already this month as I currently have £205 stashed away.
Grocery shopping is going well, £13 spent at the weekend total and we are starting to eat the contents of the freezer and cupbords now. Think I've only spent about £118 so far this month - so not bad.
Got baking to do Thurs / Fri as our charity is holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning this Saturday. So, will have to get a few ingredients - but not many as pretty well stocked.
Going shopping for non-perishable items tomorrow evening for the buffet we are doing on the 29th - there is so much going on that we know we have got to get ahead to get it all sorted.
Had a bit of spend yesterday - stocked up on supplies from Lakeland for jam / Chutney making for charity purposes - but you would have been proud - spent £34 so free delivery and I had a £5 coupon, so came in at £29 total.
Ordered my dress for the party for which we are doing the buffet. Was originally going to get a dress from Next for £75 as I haven't got time to go shopping, but ordered one from the Debenhams sale (£45 reduced to £36) and £co had debenhams on deal of the day so got 5% cashback - so all good there too.
Also got another £5 worth of Mr T saving stamps so now up to £39 towards the dreaded December shop.
We need the roof fixing before the winter - well really its needed doing for the last 3 years!!! The join between the house and the old kitchen extension needs pointing.
DH is a trained bricklayer and used to do roofing with the council - but we had decided to get someone in to do it because of the hassle factor - however, our neighbour who works in construction persuaded DH that we should do it ourselves - with his help - so DH is going up on the roof this evening - good job its dry.
It will save us about £300-500. Bit nervous of him going on the roof though.
Hope everyone had great weekends.

You sound like you've been a busy bee.
Well done on the car boot sale. You made loads. I had a peek in our car boot cupboard at the weekend but there's still not a full car load. Perhaps I'll have to find a friend to go with!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Hey MRN
Yes, have been extremely busy.
I know that we have more than enough for another car boot - but won't do another one till the Spring now - besides, if our charity manages to open a shop I know where the vast majority of stuff will be going!
Just ordered a microchip catflap in an attempt to stop this damn fluffy stealth cat from coming in and stealing our cat's food, terrorising her and making us completely paranoid. Next step is getting the cat microchipped! When I showed her the new cat basket she ran a mile! Got cashback on my purchase so good there.
In other news, we had turkey spag bol from the freezer last night and tonight will be HM paella (may even use a large scallop!!!!). So things are going down very slowly in the freezers.
Not alot else to report.
Hope everyones week is going ok.

Yum scallops!
Sorry, you distracted me. On second thoughts I might wait till after Christmas to do a car boot by myself instead of with a friend. I get a bit embarrassed at the c*@p we sell when I go with someone else!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
So, we have broken the back of the working week!
Paella was really nice and really welcome as didn't eat till 10.30pm last night!
I had gone shopping with my friend for some of the buffet stuff last night and we didn't get back till late PLUS DH had only been down from on the roof half hour before I got back:eek:
Spent about £11 in Mr T for us personally, so need to add that to my total for the month - still not too bad though.
DH & our neighbour have finished doing the roof, so hopefully no more leaks (and only cost £24 in materials and a drink for our neighbour)! BUT they have decided that the ridge tiles on the top of the roof need sorting, so I think they are going to do that the weekend.
Tonights tea is a Chinese pick and mix (will be using lots of bits out of the freezer).
So - spare ribs with BBQ sauce, mini thai fish cakes and veg spring rolls for starters and Chicken Yakatori Skewers with stirfry bendy and wilted veg in wraps for main course.

Even your drag ends of the freezer sound nice.
My last bits in the freezer are usually, peas, bread more bread and ice cream. Can never make much out of it

Hi MCI, I hope you don't mind me asking, but we live in the west mids as well and are hoping to do a car boot on Sunday - where did you go to do yours? It sounds like it was a good one!0
