Not going to have a lot of time for reading and updating - so doing a quick one now while no one is looking!
Need to get a birthday present and card today - not a usual purchase, but she is 30 and we are going to the party! (at least we know the food will be ok!)
Pastry cooking done last night - crawled into bed at midnight.
Cooked beef stirfry as DH didn't go out.
For speed and ease tonight we are having Chicken Pad Thai 'ready meals' I bought from the Chinese supermarket - £1.79 each so much cheaper than a takeaway and more room cleared in the freezer to boot!
Got quite a bit of prep to do tonight, but aiming to be done by 9pm so I can spend some time with DH - don't seem to have seen him this week at all. Early start in the morning, but got my TO DO list and I'm sure it will all go ok.
Hope everyone is well and I wish you all a fab weekend.

Thanks Megela.
Was catering for my friends daughter's 30th - I have known her 12 years - so think we would have been invited anyway...
Had a good time...had one or two glasses of wine to many for the first time in ages.
Food came out good too...had lots of nice comments.

Well its 1 October and I really need to get the house straight on the run up to Christmas. With everything that has been going on this year there are some areas that really need sorting.
I am one of those people who tend to have an Autumn Clean and not a Spring Clean (should do both really). DH and I need some space to relax and the house is just too overloaded with carp. Need to take the bull by the horns and get it done.
So, my aim for October / November is to work my way through the house and sort each room. It will probably be a once a week job, sorting one room each Saturday aswell as keeping up to date with regular stuff.
Going to look into ebay for unwanted items and have a go at that and each room will have a deep clean once it has been decluttered.
I have not told DH about this, I am just going to get on and get it done.
So, here is my list to keep me motivated and I hope that you guys will encourage me along the way as I tend to get fed up.
Kitchen
· Fetch all the mugs out and see what we want to keep – the ones we don’t – package them up with some bits and pieces for sale for our charity at Christmas.
· Jars!
· Food cupboards
· Deep Clean appliances
Dining Room
· Cook books and magazine tidy up.
· Shelves
· Dining Room Table
· Bottles – choose a nice one for the charity Raffle
Lounge
· Drawers of table
· Shelf tidy
Bathroom
· Declutter cupboard
Spare Room - probably the worst room in the house...
· Personal Paperwork this is a hefty area
· Pictures – buy 2 x frames and get pics put up
· Sofa bed
· Printer disposal? – ebay?
Bedroom
· Paperwork
· Clothes sort out
· Under bed
Loft
· Major tidy, sort out and label stuff
· Plastic boxes required for catering stuff
Other
· Need to look into ebay
· All rooms to be Deep Cleaned once decluttered
Keep me motivated guys - going to need it.
Finance update etc...to come later.

In other news...
Not a lot really. Got my OP ready to go for tomorrow and grocery shopping is very low.
Tuna Steaks out the freezer ready for later - got some lemon pepper glaze in the cupboard, so we will have those with some Morrocan Style cous cous later (LO from the buffet on Saturday).
Freezers are looking a bit emptier now, but won't be happy till I can get all the stuff in the freezer upstairs and then I can defrost the chest freezer.
Showed DH the list of meals for the month yesterday and although I think he thinks I'm sad, he thought there were some interesting ideas on there - I did say to him that it wasn't set in stone and that we could swap things about a bit.
Charity meeting tonight & Thursday, but hoping to relax Tues/Wed.

Perhaps try Preloved... I find it better than ebay for bulky items (like printers) because buyer can collect and there's no fees.
Thanks for the offer but too busy to a cuppa today!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0
