Got some coupons off Mr T yesterday that will come in very handy!

Checked the garden this morning and my courgette plant has sprung into life again - some tiny courgettes coming through - maybe we will get some after all if the weather holds.

Was given some courgettes by my colleague today whose nephew had grown a load - so looking forawd to putting those with some roast veg at some point soon.

DH has said that he will give me the money for the breakdown cover this weekend - so that can be put back into the bank! yay!

DH has gone to Alton Towers today with his brother as he was given 2 free tickets - bonus - I would have gone but can't get the time off because of our carp holiday policy!

Tonights tea is Roast Chicken with all the timmings.

    Off to update my signature!

Same here... the marrows have picked up no end in the last two days. Even I thought they were slowing up last week.

  • Are you gonna get some nice treats with your vouchers?

    Certainly am!

    Well half and half really:

Perfume vouchers will definately be for me and at least £10 of M&S Vouchers will buy a dine in for £10. The rest of the M&S vouchers may go towards some new clothes.

The other vouchers will be going towards the dreaded Christmas shopping :rotfl:

Shopping today at Herr A totalled just £6.91 and tomorrows Mr T shop will be relatively small.

Resisted the temptation to have a takeaway tonight as DH has gone out and I didn't get back till late; but when I thought about it I really didn't want one! So had egg, wedges and beans - that will do me!

Its just what I fancied (and what I had that was quick and easy)!:rotfl:

Tonight is Fridgeraiders Pasta Bake - got some cooked meat, mushrooms, pesto and a few veggies in the fridge that need to be used up; plus some grated cheese left over from the rushed buffet I did on Monday morning! and a tin of tomatoes in the cupboard - is that any better? ;)

Not alot to report on the MSE front (as is customary as we wait for the next payday) - not alot to buy at the shops, BUT will be stocking up at the Chinese supermarket tomorrow - need to get some bits for the buffet at the end of the month and I have a hankering for some scallops (a 1kg bag may be nearly £20, but they will last ages and are SO MUCH cheaper than buying off the fish counter in the supermarket). The scallops will also come out of the treat budget instead of the food budget, is that cheating?

Lovely and sunny here today and I hope that this will continue over the weekend and into next week. (don't want to jinx the weather, but hoping to get some washing out on the line!)

    Have great weekends all.

Not if you declare 'I'm having a treat' every time you eat them!

  • Hi

Got the scallops (£15.95)! And I fully intend to use them as treats! lol.

Went to Ludlow Food Festival yesterday and had a really nice time - picked up some really cheap 'different' cupcake cases, so pretty well stocked now. Bought some rare breed sausages too as a treat (yes another one)!

My freezers and cupboards are pretty much full to bursting, so not intending to buy anything else except fresh stuff for the rest of the month.

Went and changed 110 euros back today (finally). Got £77 back and we still have about 80 euros for the next time we go away to Europe.

£60 will go back into our joint account and £17 is what's owed to me for the travel insurance.

Tonights tea is BBQ leftovers from Saturday. Going to do a pilaf with roasted veggies, LO chicken and lamb - really looking forward to it.

    Hope eveyone had good weekends.

That's better now - thank you.

The egg and wedges sounds more like something I would cook! I was really disappointed in you!!

We've got boneless (yes I boned them myself) chicken thighs stuffed with garlic soft cheese and wrapped in bacon, with jacket potatoes and salad tonight. I try so hard to serve up something different, but I just get 'what is this' looks from the kids & DH!! I get so bored eating the same thing all the time.

The scallops sound great - so next time you want a quick meal it'll be scallops & wedges, yes?
